Following Pattinson as the title character, considered a “expendable“on a dangerous mission to colonize an alien world, Mickey 17 is perhaps the actor’s second chance at a groundbreaking sci-fi adventure following the mixed reception of Principle.
Adapted from the novel by Edward Ashton, Mickey 7 is a science fiction film that follows Mickey 17 (Robert Pattinson) and his journey to the icy world of Niflheim to colonize the planet. Mickey 17 is an “expendable” employee who can be used and thrown away after completing his – often dangerous – task, but when one iteration of Mickey dies, he is reborn in a new body with a large portion of his memories still intact. After six deaths, however, Mickey finally begins to understand the job and why it has always been a vacant position.

In a time of too many reboots and general superhero fatigue, Matt Reeves accomplished something impressive by bringing a new, even darker version of Batman and Catwoman to the big screen that has resonated spectacularly with modern audiences. Batman Part IIThe release date for is currently October 2026, with Pattinson and Colin Farrell being confirmed to return. After the success of Farrell’s spinoff miniseries, The PenguinThis staple Batman character is expected to play a major role in the new film’s story.
The Batman Part II is the sequel to Matt Reeve’s The Batman, released in 2022, and will pick up where the original film left off. The film shares a universe with HBO Max’s original Penguin series and sees the return of the Riddler and a different incarnation of the Joker.

At some point in the future, audiences will see the first collaboration between Pattinson and Jennifer Lawrence, both young adult romance megastars who were once pitted against each other as the leads of two of the biggest franchises of the 2010s. in the character of Lawrence, a wife and mother in rural America who suffers from psychosis, with Pattinson playing her husband and LaKeith Stanfield her lover. Die, my love is being directed by Lynne Ramsay, co-written with Ariana Harwicz and based on the book by Edna Walsh.
While There is some speculation that Die, my love will be released in 2025, is not confirmed. However, the mix of genres represents interesting possibilities for all actors involved. Lawrence has been jumping between genres since the end of The Hunger Gamesincluding starring in the acclaimed Mother! Horror legend Sissy Spacek is also part of the cast. Characterized as a horror-thriller and comedy-drama, this should be an interesting new project for Pattinson.

The Drama
In production
Starting production at the end of 2024, The Drama instantly piqued audiences’ interest with Pattinson starring alongside Zendaya. Filming in Boston, the A24 film directed by Kristoffer Borgli is considered “a romance that takes an unexpected turn before a couple’s big day” (through boston.com). Pattinson and Zendaya are likely the couple in question, with Mamoudou Athie and Alana Haim cast in supporting roles. The film could hit the big screen at the end of 2025, probably in 2026 at the latest.
Like Pattinson, Zendaya began her career in less critically acclaimed but still beloved entertainment, appealing to younger audiences. However, his career has only been on an upward trajectory since the late 2010s, with titles such as Euphoria and Challengers surprising the audience. Now, she and Pattinson have the opportunity to bolster each other’s performances and careers with a new collaboration on a new drama.

Pattinson as producer
Probably the longest way of all your next projects, Pattinson is also reportedly working as a producer on a new true crime film alongside Lance Oppenheim, titled Prime time (through Variety). The film will follow an investigative journalist and is speculated to be inspired by the 2000s reality show “To Catch a Predator.” Robert Pattinson may end up taking on the lead role, which is not uncommon for actors who are also producing, in what could be the next stage of their career years later.
