X-Men’s New Era is the perfect moment to turn Magneto’s kids into an official team

Warning: Contains spoilers for Scarlet Witch #4!After the fall of Krakoa, everything changed for the X-Men. Scarlet Witch #4 See the end of Wanda’s fight against the Griever, who seeks to destroy life on Earth. Wanda traveled through life, death and the paths in between, while her siblings battled the entity to give her a fighting chance. This isn’t a run-of-the-mill encounter either. Polaris Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch eat dinner on a rooftop before Polaris flies away.

They’ve moved beyond their complicated family history, and between Wanda’s magic, Pietro’s speed and Lorna’s magnetism, it’s hard to imagine an enemy they couldn’t overcome when working together. The Griever should be the first of many shared victories.

Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Polaris deserve their own chapter in Marvel history

Scarlet Witch #4 By Steve Orlando, Jacopo Camagni, Frank William and Ariana Maher

Magneto’s children haven’t had the easiest sibling journey, made even more difficult by their father figure. While Pietro and Wanda remain as close (and codependent) as ever, they’ve had an on-and-off relationship with Polaris. The battle against the Griever proves that they are all turning a corner with one another, with Lorna even encouraging the twins to reach out to her more often – and not just in a crisis.. The three spent precious little time together, except for the reality that Wanda built during the House of M happening, but they have both the time and commitment to change that now.

While the twins split their time between their respective Avengers teams, Lorna has no solid commitments with the X-Men or otherwise since the fall of Krakoa, and there’s always an opening in the Marvel Universe for any force capable of standing against Major Threats. Magneto’s children are more than up to the challenge. Just recently, Polaris acted as a powerhouse against Orchis, Quicksilver took down Baron Blood and his vampire crew, and Scarlet Witch faced Chthon, Agatha Harkness, and many other threats. The forces and personalities that kept Magneto’s children apart are no longer in play, and They can perform remarkable feats together.

Magneto’s children are some of Marvel’s strongest heroes

They bring out each other’s strength

Polaris and Quicksilver use their powers to fight the Griever.

Max Eisenhardt’s family spends too little time on the same page, despite their enormous potential together. Much of the blame lies with the patriarch himself, but Lorna joining the Maximoffs to face the Griever and apologize for her father’s harsh words to Quicksilver proved that their alliance could exist outside or in spite of him. All three siblings have faced huge struggles in their lives, but they clearly make each other stronger. Like these X-Men embark on their next chapter, magnetos Children can hold the world in the palms of their hands if they work together to do the same.
