I think the Empyrean series secretly introduced the next King of Navarre in Iron Flame

The Empiric Series throws Navarre into a war against the Venin, and I think Iron flame has set the stage for a new king to rise when the dust settles. King Tauri is the leader of Navarre Fourth wing opens, and his kingdom is marked by deceit and corruption. Navarre’s leadership problems become undeniable by the end of iron flame, And it is thanks to their secrets that they suffer so many losses throughout the book. There is work to be done when it comes to defeating the Venin and fixing the government of Navarre. This could mean new military leaders, as well as a new king.

We don’t see much of King Tauri in Rebecca Yarros’ first two Empyrean series BooksBut it is clear that he is an unworthy leader. He knows about the threats that lurk outside the divisions of Navarre, but he keeps the secrets of his own people. He is also the one who ordered the death of the leaders of the Tyrrhenian rebellion, ordering them to be killed in front of their own children. King Tauri doesn’t need many scenes to get over the fact that he is cruel and corrupt. Fortunately, I think Yarros’ series is paving the way for a more deserving king to take the throne.

I think Iron Flame set the stage for Aaric to become Navarre’s new king

Given the lies of King Tauri, It’s hard to see him remaining king at the end of The Empiric Series. And with no talent on the battlefield, I doubt he’ll survive the rest of Yarro’s series. It is likely that some of Navarre’s leaders will perish during the coming war, leaving a vacant throne. If his entire family is attacked, King Tauri and his eldest son may perish during Onyx Storm Or a later sequel. That would be one way for Yarros to shake things up. Plus, it would leave an obvious heir to Navarre’s throne.

Even if Navarre’s leaders are targeted, King Tauri’s youngest son will likely not be present. Iron flame Introduces Cam Tauri during Conscription Day, when he disguised himself as Aaric Greycastle in order to join the Riders Quadrant. Cam’s father has no idea what he’s up to, as he believes he’s traveling across the kingdom. This would explain Cam’s absence during any attack on Navarre’s leadership, and it would make him difficult for the enemy to track. If King Tauri dies, Kam will become the new leader of the kingdom – And Yaros sets him up to be better than his father.

Why Kam Tauri would make a great leader after the Empyrean series is over

His time in the Riders Quadrant and morale make him better equipped to lead

Kam becoming the next king of Navarre would make sense of his Iron flame storylineWhich quickly proved he would make a better leader than his father. Cam reveals that he knows the truth about the Venin during iron flame, And he goes out of his way to help Violet discover more about the wards. Cam does not approve of the secrets that the leaders of Navarre keep, and this means that he is unlikely to continue the corruption and destroy his father’s kingdom. If Cam keeps his morals intact the empirical series, I think he will make a fine leader when it’s over.

Cam’s time as Aaric Greycastle will give him a better understanding of the people he would serve and command as king.

Additionally, Cam’s time as Aaric Greycastle will give him a better understanding of the people he would serve and command as king. King Tauri doesn’t interact much with the Dragon Riders, and he doesn’t get a first-hand look at the struggles of the common people he rules over. By joining the Riders Quadrant, Cam gets to see and interact with the people who would become his subjects. This will leave him better equipped to do right by them as king. It also wouldn’t hurt to have a leader with combat experience and a dragon.

There is 1 problem with my theory about Navarre’s next king

Cam Tauri must first survive Rebecca Yarros’ series

I’m pretty sure Yarros will set up a bigger story for Cam Tauri in the future Fourth wing Sequels, but one thing makes me question my theory about it. Yarros is very difficult when it comes to killing Fourth wingS lettersAnd the members of the Riders Quadrant are constantly putting their lives on the line. For Cam to take the throne at the end of the empirical series, He will need to survive his time at Basgiath War College – and the coming war between Navarre and the Venin.

Knowing the stakes of Yarros’ world, this will not be an easy feat. While Violet’s closest friends were lucky at first Empyrean series Books, they suffered a lot of losses during their time in Basgiath. I hope Cam doesn’t join the list of deceased characters in The Empiric SeriesAs he has a lot of potential as king. Only time will tell if this is the path Yarros chooses to go with, but there is a reason for introducing his character. Iron flame.
