Deadpool and WolverineThe long list of characters could have helped the Marvel Cinematic Universe if some of them had debuted in the franchise a few years ago, as there are powerful characters in the 2024 film who could have taken the fight to Thanos. As one of the biggest events in the MCU’s Multiverse Saga so far, Deadpool and Wolverine made a point of using the concept of multiverse to the film’s advantage. In addition to bringing back Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s Deadpool as a new variant of Wolverine, Deadpool and WolverineThe roster of cameos features several shocking players from across the multiverse.
The film also has one of the most powerful villains the MCU has ever seen, and it’s interesting to reflect on how Deadpool and WolverineThe MCU’s biggest stars would have faced off against the MCU’s Big Bad, Josh Brolin’s Thanos. The multiverse could always answer that question in future Marvel movies, but some of them Deadpool and Wolverinecharacters would likely pose a greater threat to Thanos than others.

Elektra
The character would not pose a threat to Thanos
The first of Deadpool and WolverineThe main characters on the list are Elektra, by Jennifer Garner. The heroine finally received respect in Deadpool and Wolverinewhich showed how much of a threat Elektra can be in good old-fashioned hand-to-hand combat. However, this is hardly enough for her to actually become a threat to Thanos. The Mad Titan easily beat the Hulk hand-to-handthen Elektra would be out of his reach.
If Garner’s Marvel character had been in the MCU during the last two Infinity Saga Avengers films, she would have had to help the heroes in a different way. Characters like Black Widow, Okoye and Hawkeye helped the team facing Thanos’ Black Order. Elektra could have done the same, leaving the Mad Titan to more powerful heroes.
9
Blade
The iconic movie hero would also have fought
Wesley Snipes’ Blade films – alongside Fox’s X-Men franchise and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man trilogy – are largely responsible for all the superhero films that would come after, including the MCU. Snipes’ Blade is basically the same in its franchise as it is in Deadpool and Wolverineexcept for the fact that the character is now older. Still, Blade seemed to be as strong as ever when he bled out. felled hordes of Cassandra Nova’s minions in Deadpool and Wolverine.
With his hand-to-hand skills, agility, and half-vampire constitution, Blade managed to hold Thanos’ attention for a moment.
Would that make him enough of a threat to Thanos? Difficultly. The Mad Titan is simply too powerful a character for Blade to face head-on.. With his hand-to-hand skills, agility, and half-vampire constitution, Blade managed to hold Thanos’ attention for a moment. However, he is not powerful enough to kill the villain, so Blade would also be better against Thanos’ army.
8
Cavilrina
The character did not show enough of his strength
One of Deadpool and WolverineThe most shocking moment was the early reveal that former Superman actor Henry Cavill was in the film as a variant of Wolverine. Nicknamed Cavillrine, the character appeared for a brief moment as Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool attempts to recruit him. Deadpool is a strong character, but Cavillrine made quick work of him. With just one punch, Cavill’s version of Wolverine sent Deadpool flying back.
This showed that the character is not one to mess with, but Cavill seemed too little to correctly judge whether Cavillrine would be able to defeat Thanos if he was in the MCU when the Mad Titan was active. Still, like a version of Wolverine, the Cavillrine would have presented some resistance to Thanos as long as the Infinity Stones weren’t already in play.
7
X-23
Laura has been fighting for a long time
Just as the Cavillrine could have presented little challenge to Thanos even if the extent of its power was unknown, so too would Dafne Keen’s X-23. Just like Henry Cavill’s multiverse character, Keen’s heroine is also a version of Wolverine. In truth, Laura was created based on the DNA of Hugh Jackman’s original Wolverine. Since that version of Logan was the Anchor Being of his universe, as revealed in Deadpool and WolverineX-23 is a formidable character.
Adding to this, Dafne Keen’s X-23 has been fighting violently since she was a child. Logan It’s the perfect demonstration of how well the character does in fights where she’s the underdog, something that would have been true if she had met Thanos. X-23 would have been a worthy character to have alongside more powerful Avengers to take down Thanos, but she wouldn’t have been able to do it alone.
6
Pyro
The villain made quick work of a great hero
Aaron Stanford’s Pyro surprisingly had a bigger role in Deadpool and Wolverine than expected. Besides Cassandra Nova, the character was the only other villain in the Void to get an arc. Pyro finally betrays Cassandra because he is tired of her orders and wants to leave the Void. The character’s power is shown when he easily dispatches Chris Evans’ Human Torchusing his fire manipulation to extinguish Johnny’s flames.

Although Pyro isn’t physically strong, the character could have been a threat to Thanos. His ability to increase the size of any fire to an intensity that can harm other heroes and villains makes Pyro a great threat, especially since he has had many years to hone his skills. While It would have been difficult for Pyro to defeat Thanos alonethe mutant could have harmed the villain and released suppressive “fire”.
5
Gambit
The X-Men character could have made a name for himself
Channing Tatum’s Gambit is without a doubt Deadpool and Wolverineescape character. After spending a decade trying to make a Gambit solo film, the actor finally got the chance to bring his favorite superhero to life in the MCU. Tatum became one of the film’s most popular elements, with his version of Gambit being hilarious, powerful, and a great fighter. After Deadpool and Wolverine and Disney+ X-Men ’97 showed the scope of Gambit’s powershe could have taken down Thanos.
Gambit can charge any object or being he touches with kinetic energy, leading to a powerful explosion. He mainly uses this in his card deck, eliminating enemies quickly. X-Men ’97 showed that the character could cause a large explosion capable of destroying a Three-Headed Sentinel. As such, Channing Tatum’s Gambit Could Have Eliminated Thanos Without the Infinity Gauntleteven though he died to do it.
4
Johnny Storm
The member of the Fantastic Four is quite powerful
Deadpool and Wolverine used Chris Evans’ Human Torch as great comic relief. However, that didn’t include doing justice to how powerful the hero is. Evans’ two Fantastic Four films showcased Johnny Storm’s feats of strength, and the hero should have defeated Pyro during the fight. Still, if Evans had played Captain America and the Human Torch against Thanos, his original Marvel character could have done even more damage than Cap.
Steve Rogers managed to surprise Thanos with his strength in the first fight, later becoming a legitimate threat by wielding Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir. Evans’ Johnny Storm is even more powerful than Captain America – without Mjolnir included. The Human Torch’s ability to fly and burn as hot as a supernovaplus his years of experience in the Fantastic Four defeating Doctor Doom, the Silver Surfer and more show that he could defeat Thanos if his powers were portrayed accurately.
3
Dead Pool
The mercenary with a mouth is very difficult to kill
Deadpool isn’t on the same power level as MCU characters like Thor, Captain Marvel, or Scarlet Witch. However, his insane healing factor makes him extremely difficult to kill. In the comics, Deadpool managed to kill Thanos twicealthough he had the help of external factors and items to do so. This means that in a straight fight, Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool wouldn’t be able to kill Thanos.
However, Deadpool’s stamina, healing factor, agility, and sword fighting skills could have made him the ultimate distraction. Not only would Deadpool be able to defeat several characters in Thanos’ army, he defeated the Deadpool Corps in Deadpool and Wolverinebut the character could have been used in a coordinated attack alongside heavy hitters. Deadpool would stall and resist Thanos long enough for others to take him downsurviving to tell the tale.
2
Wolverine
The definitive member of the X-Men
While most of the characters on the list needed to sacrifice themselves for their powers to reach a level that could eliminate Thanos, Deadpool and Wolverine’s healing factors make the duo the most likely to survive the encounter and even defeat the Mad Titan. Wolverine is the most vicious fighter on this list, and that, combined with his healing factor and Adamantium claws, would have caused Thanos some problems in a fair fight.
What helps Wolverine be the hero who could have been most useful against Thanos is his superhero team-up experience. Although he eventually failed his world’s X-Men, Deadpool and WolverineLogan’s version spent several years fighting alongside a powerful team. This would make him a perfect fit for the Avengers, using his experience, fighting skills, and healing factor to help lead the team to victory against Thanos.
1
Cassandra Nova
The most powerful character in Deadpool and Wolverine
Finally, there is no doubt that Emma Corrin’s Cassandra Nova would have been the most useful character of Deadpool and Wolverine against Thanos during the Infinity Saga. Cassandra Nova is the twin sister of Charles Xavier. Professor X is one of the most powerful characters in Marvel Comics, which makes Deadpool and WolverineThe main villain of one of the most formidable characters to ever appear in a live-action Marvel film.
Cassandra Nova showed the full scope of her powers in Deadpool and Wolverine. The character could heal herself, had the ability to enter people’s minds by touching them, had telekinesis, had intangibility, could blast enemies with psionic waves and much more. All of these abilities mean she could have helped the Avengers defeat Thanos if there was something for her. The most powerful character in Deadpool and Wolverine would probably want the Infinity Gauntlet for herself.
