Funky Fungi is one of the hidden levels in Astro Bot which can only be unlocked by finding a Secret exit gate in another level. Once you’ve found it, however, it presents a real challenge with many more bots and puzzle pieces to find. Because it is a hidden level, it includes a lot of new types of puzzles, which makes it difficult to find all the collectibles.
Funky Fungi can be unlocked by playing the Creamy Canyon level in the first world, the Gorilla Nebula. As the initial level is so early in Astro BotPlayers can unlock and play Funky Fungi anytime. The factory-based level introduces new elements not seen in the game’s predecessor, Astro’s playroomIncluding the ability to dig down into the ground. Rescuing the first bot from the enemy
After using the new spinning punch to lift yourself up into the air onto a higher platform, you’ll find the first Bot in plain sight on the left. However, it has an enemy hovering around for company. Jump up and spin attack the bot to release it. It is one of the many camo bot appearances in Astro BotRichter Belmont from Castlevania.
The hidden level can be accessed by entering the Lost Galaxy from the main hub in Astro Bot.

Smashing a wall to find the piece
Puzzle pieces play a key role in astro bot, As you look to complete the final puzzles with some of PlayStation’s finest moments. The first piece in Funky Fungi can be found after you’ve pulled up the dynamite shortly after rescuing the previous bot. After using it first on the enemies directly in front of you, go back and pick it up again, but this time turn around and jump up the stairs. You can throw it against the wall that is marked, blowing it up to reveal the piece.

A puzzle for a puzzle
Once you have dug down inside the level for the first time, you can use the flower to float up to the first level on the right side. Defeat the big yellow enemy and below is another area you can dig down into. Inside is a puzzle to solve. If you go across the different tiles, you will find yours Controller vibrating when standing on top of a certain one. If you jump up and use your laser to break the tile, it will reveal the second puzzle piece.

Blue mushrooms do bring rewards
Once you go to the main room with different levels and mushrooms, look to the left where you will see a tall group of mushrooms dancing. If you pull on the nearby wires, you will get the flowers that can help you boost. Use the flowers and the boosted tiles to push yourself on top of the big blue mushroom. Here you will find Bot number two, The Hunter from Bloodborne.

Digging deep for bot number three
The next bot is in the same section of the level, but in the central area. Use the wires under the yellow mole to find a flower that can take you up to the platform above and look for the last blue X, marking an area in which you can dig down. Inside this room, there is no puzzle, but a number of enemies to defeat. Once you’ve done that, you can jump on the robot that’s left to save the bot higher up on the ledge in the corner.

Slide down the water slide to save number four
As you progress to the end of the level, you will dig down and find yourself in a sliding water section. On the last one of the balance beams, you’ll find the fourth bot hanging down above at the end. As you travel down the last bit of the path, jump and spin attack the bot to save it.

Look up high to complete the level
As you near the end of the level, you’ll find a couple of spiky robots that can be difficult to defeat. After you have defeated the first one, you will find some wires below where it was standing. It will reveal a flower that you can use to climb up to the waterfall in the background. At the top is another Bot that you can save by defeating the nearby enemy.
Although there are only seven collectibles in Funky Fungi, it can be one of the trickier levels in Astro BotBut once you have them all, you are one step closer to saving all 300 and unlocking the secret 301 bot.
