What this means for the Suits franchise

Suits: LA could build on the success of its predecessor

Creating a spinoff of any successful series is always a risk, and this is no different. However, There are reasons for optimism, as Suits: LA appears to match the success of its sister show. The original series had such a strong plot and such a diverse cast of characters that it ran for a long time. If Suits: LA gets its cast right and can develop its own unique and independent story while paying homage to the original, it has a good chance of being successful.

While the original show itself had a pretty fitting conclusion, Suits’ ending sets up the spinoff by wrapping up one story and establishing a new plot in the same world.

One of the main reasons the series was commissioned was the unexpected success of the revival of Suits on streaming platforms Netflix and Peacock. There is clearly a belief that Suits: LA could enjoy a similar level of success, and its anticipated release on Peacock could provide a similar platform and reach the same audience. There is also the possibility of new spinoffs if this one is successful.

Our take on whether it’s a good fit: LA will be a success

It might be the right time to return to the world of suits

As it has been five years since Suits concluded, it may be the right time for a return to this universe, and there is every chance Suits: LA will be successfulparticularly with Arrow stars Stephen Amell in the lead role. While the original show itself had a pretty fitting conclusion, the Suits finale sets up the spinoff by ending one story and establishing a new plot in the same world. Additionally, Amell’s Ted Black was a federal prosecutor in New York, like Harvey, so there could be an opportunity for cameos from Suits alumni in Suits: LA.
