Suddenly it became an F5

The team uses the Dorthy V device, iterating an invention that was introduced in the original Twistedwith them hoping to calm the storm to prove their methods are successful. Kate’s entire team positions itself and is prepared to release Dorothy V into the storm, although things go horribly wrong when the storm unexpectedly grows into an F5 tornado.

Once Javi realizes how big the tornado is, he notifies the team about his F5 statusalthough it’s too late. The group has to flee on foot due to the storm that hits their vehicle, with them improvising a plan to survive. The gang finds a bridge and tries to hide under it, believing in the myth that it is capable of protecting people from storms. While Kate manages to survive by hiding under the bridge, the rest of her friends are not so lucky, with the intense storm claiming the lives of Jeb, Addy and Praveen.

Twisters shows Kate perfecting her formula for taming tornadoes

After it failed the first time

Kate gives up her aspirations to control a storm after the death of her team, moving away and getting an office job where she sorts storms. However, Kate ends up being drawn back into the world of storm chasing by Javi, reigniting her passion for her project. While working with Javi’s Storm Par team, Kate is able to collect more data, allowing her to further perfect her formula for taming tornadoes. The assistance of Tyler’s team is also a big help, with her working with Tyler to finally get the formula right.

Kate gets the chance to test her revised theory at the end of Twistedwith her and the storm chase teams having to face another F5 tornado. THE Twisted cast is informed of the strong storm shortly beforeallowing them to properly prepare for the storm. Kate takes her new formula and drives directly into the storm while the rest of the characters are in town, directly in the path of the tornado. Fortunately, Kate’s new formula actually works, with the tornado dissipating before completely destroying the theater.

What Kate’s Tornado Taming Formula Means for the Future of Twisters

Kate’s life will never be the same again

Now that Kate has successfully tamed a tornado, the world of Twisted It will be totally different from now on. From now on, tornadoes are much less of a threat as people simply need to use Kate’s formula to tame them. Since the end of Twisted confirms that the formula can work on an F5 tornado, meaning it can work on almost anything, presumably being used frequently in the world after Kate’s test worked.

The success of Kate’s formula also means a lot to Kate, as the success will likely completely change her life. If Kate wanted to, she could make a lot of money from her formula, allowing her to become incredibly wealthy. However, Kate doesn’t seem like the type of person to copyright a life-saving device like this formulaalthough it still opens doors to future employment opportunities. In the real world, a successful formula for controlling tornadoes would change the world, and it certainly will in the world of Twisted.
