Warning: Contains potential spoilers for Spider-Society #2!Spider-Man Lore officially changes forever, as Marvel introduces a brand new evil Madam Webb. In the new Spider Society series, Madame Web goes from connecting the Spider-Verse to trying to tear it apart. The comic book series is heavily influenced by Sony’s animated Spidey adventures on the big screen, and could be using the recent Marvel live-action flop to rewrite an old character into a fresh new name.

After an explosive first issue, the preview for Spider Society #2 – written by Alex Segura with art by Scott Godlewski – reveals the true mastermind behind the attack on the group of Spider-Verse variants. Setting her big evil plan with a diabolical monologue in narrative, the evil Madame Web is revealed on her giant webbed spider throne.

With an entire society of heroes brought to their knees, this villainous Madame Web instantly becomes a major force to be reckoned with.
