‘A Thousand Years of Blood War’ Fixes a Common Fan Complaint with Great Fight Scenes That Was Missed in the Manga

Bleach: A Thousand Years of Bloody War Part 3 already addresses a common fan complaint about this part of the story by adding a new fight scene between Uryu Ishida and Senjumaru Shutara. The new stage is definitely a change for the better, giving both fighters a chance to shine.

The premiere of the third part, simply titled “A”, included a recap of the previous season’s finale, followed by an entirely new fight scene intended to explain some of the changes already made to the manga during the finale of the second part. In it, Squad Zero kills themselves to break the blood seal on Senjumaru’s Bankai, allowing her to use an amazingly powerful technique to imprison Yhwach’s elite guards. At the end of Part 2, this seemed to be the end for them, but since Senjumaru didn’t use her Bankai in the manga, it raised questions as to how this difference would be resolved.

Uryu and Senjumaru’s fight made them both better

The new fight scene improved the character of both fighters

The premiere of the third part finally answered this question, showing another new fight that was not in the manga – between Uryu, encased in Bankai, and Senjumaru. This immediately gave Uryu a much more active role than he was given in the manga, addressing one of the big complaints from fans about the Thousand-Year Blood War arc as a whole.. UryÅ« plays a crucial role in freeing his fellow Quincys by destroying Senjumaru just as Yhwach begins to regain his full power.

Despite losing the fight, it also gave Senjumaru much better characterization. In the manga, Squad Zero’s battle with Yhwach’s elite is quite disappointing, with Squad Zero being defeated quickly and mostly off-screen. By sacrificing himself to allow Senjumaru to use his Bankai, it much more easily explains why the other members of Squad Zero were unable to fight back against the Quincy. As a result of this expansion, Senjumaru herself was given much more characterization, with the terrifying power of her Bankai on full display, assuring fans that Squad Zero lived up to its reputation.

A new battle between UryÅ« and Senjumaru reveals that Senjumaru was no weakling, and yet UryÅ«, empowered by the Almighty Yhwach, was still able to defeat her by using his own Font, Antithesis, to switch places with her. This gives fans an idea of what Uryu’s “Font” ability is really capable of, and helps explain why he was brought into Yhwach’s inner circle so quickly. Uryu even gains the beginning of Wollstandig, an ability that all other Quincy can use, which greatly increases his power.

Will Uryu’s role continue to expand?

Uryu should take a more active role in the conflict

Vollstandig Uryu becomes active for the first time.

Up until this point, UryÅ« had largely remained on the sidelines, as he did not participate in the Seireitei Invasion and had minimal influence in the battle between Yhwach’s Elite and Squad Zero in the manga. Given the presence of the Quincy, this storyline should have been a major one for Uryu, but Uryu is so often out of focus that it hardly seems like he has anything to do with the Thousand Year Blood War arc at all. By giving UryÅ« a more active role, the story focuses more on him and his journey, which should be more meaningful to viewers who have been with him all along.

Let’s hope this new fight scene is a sign that there’s more to come for Uryu. Uryu’s role in Thousand Years of Bloody War should be in charge: Uryu’s actions help resolve conflicts, even if they are on the side of the “bad guys”. By giving UryÅ« a larger role, it also increases his rivalry with Ichigo.. UryÅ« is not just a victim sweetly talked into joining Yhwach; he made this decision for himself and continues to act on it, forcing Ichigo to accept that UryÅ« may no longer be the same person he once knew.

The new fight scenes are absolutely amazing, and it’s a testament to how well they’re executed that both Senjumaru and Uryu look better than they did in the manga. These are exactly the changes that have been happening for a long time Bleach this is what fans were hoping to see when it was announced Thousand Years of Bloody War adapted. If this is any indication of how the rest of Part 3 Bleach: A Thousand Years of Bloody War is set to leave, fans definitely have something to look forward to.
