Barbarella officially returns with a sarcastic critique of low-brow sci-fi

Although most readers will be familiar with the name Barbarella based on the 1968 film starring Jane Fonda, the character originates from Jean-Claude Forrest’s comic serials that first appeared in 1962. themed comic books, but Forrest’s intentions were to reflect the Modern woman of the 60s who was slowly liberated by the sexual revolution. in this matter, Barbarellain his original iteration, was a meta-commentary and a satire – something that Dynamite’s new Barbarella Series can return to and take to a whole new level.
