Nobody wants thisNetflix’s new romantic comedy starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody has been renewed just weeks after its debut. — but there is one big change. Created by Erin Foster and loosely based on her own experience of falling in love with her husband, the 10-episode series centers on the unlikely romance that develops between agnostic and successful podcaster Joanne (Bell) and unconventional rabbi Noah (Brody) after they meet at a dinner party. The idea was a success, generating recognition, excitement, and some controversy.
Deadline confirms that Nobody wants this season two will be on Netflix. However, there will be changes behind the scenes. Girls alum Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan will serve as showrunners, replacing Foster in the role. They will also executive produce alongside Nora Silver, president of Jenni Konner Productions, and returning executive producers Bell and Steve Levitan. The deal, announced by Netflix chief executive Bela Bajaria, was struck before the romantic comedy debuted.
Foster, who continues to participate in Nobody wants thisresponded to the extension with a statement. She referenced her personal experiences for Joanna and Noah’s story, expressing her excitement about working alongside Kaplan and Conner and mentioning that she was a fan of their work. The incredible cast, crew, producers and executives have all gone into the show that it is today, and experiencing the audience reaction to the series now that it’s out has been more than anything I could have dreamed of. I’m so lucky to be able to continue this story and do it with Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, who I’ve been a fan of ever since. Girls… Justice for healthy relationships is the most romantic thing!

Cliffhanger will be resolved
Season 1 ending Nobody wants this sees Noah make the decision to continue his relationship with Joanna, despite the backlash it could mean for his career and his family’s disapproval. With this renewal, the show will pay off on this cliffhanger. But it will also answer other looming storylines, such as what’s really going on between Morgan and Sasha.
