Outer Banks Season four features the Pogues – John B, Sarah, Ciara, Pope, JJ and Cleo – In search of the treasure of Edward Teach, known as the pirate Blackbeard. The Netflix adventure mystery drama series, created by Josh Pate, Jonas Pate, and Shannon Burke, follows a group of Pogs on the Outer Banks, which means they are working class (Kiara’s parents are Odd Fellows, wealthy residents, but she identifies as a Pog, and Cleo is an honorary Pog after Outer Banks Season 3). The characters often go on treasure hunts, and their adventures in season four involve Blackbeard.
Outer Banks The ending of season three jumps forward 18 months after the Pogues found El Dorado, and a man named Wes Jenrette approaches John B., Sarah, Ciara, Pope, JJ and Cleo at a ceremony to celebrate their discovery. He has an offer for them – to find Blackbeard’s treasure with him. Jeanrette has Captain Blackbeard’s journal for 1718. and, as seen in Season 4, the Pogs agree to help him. As a result, the fourth season is centered around Outer Banks characters searching for pirate treasure. More precisely, they are looking for the missing amulet of Blackbeard’s wife, Elizabeth.
The True Story of Edward Teach, as Explained by the Pirate Blackbeard

According to Royal Museums GreenwichEdward Teach, better known as Blackbeard, was born in 1680, presumably somewhere in Great Britain. Blackbeard’s legacy is that of one of the most feared pirates in history. making him one of the most popular sources of inspiration for fictional pirates in books, films and television shows. However, Blackbeard has also been portrayed by actors on screen, with Taika Waititi playing a pirate in the film. Teach became a well-known figure in the pirate community and soon earned the nickname Blackbeard due to his distinctive black beard and overall menacing appearance.
Unfortunately, Little is known about Blackbeard’s life before he became a pirate. which to some extent allows the Netflix series to have some creative freedom when creating Outer Banks season 4 story. During the War of the Spanish Succession in the early 1700s, Teach was a privateer, which meant he plundered Spanish ships for the British in the West Indies. After the end of the war, Teach was not ready to give up the pirate life, so he worked for Captain Benjamin Hornigold until he was promoted to captain.

The captain took his new ship to the Caribbean Sea, where he continued to rob, terrorize citizens and live the life of a pirate with his crew of 300 people. Teach became a well-known figure in the pirate community. he soon gained the nickname Blackbeard due to his distinctive black beard. and a general menacing appearance. He also reportedly lit a fuse in his hair to make himself look even more intimidating. However, Blackbeard’s sea adventures were not meant to last forever.

Blackbeard moved his operations to the coast of North and South Carolina, where he attracted the attention of Virginia Governor Alexander Spotswood. The Governor made it his mission to capture the pirate, and with his team of hunters, Spotswood was able to find Blackbeard and his men near Ocracoke Island, North Carolina. Blackbeard entered the battle, but when he and his crew boarded Lieutenant Robert Maynard’s ship, they were ambushed by Maynard’s troops. The famous pirate was killed during the battle on November 22, 1718. and Maynard reportedly hung Blackbeard’s head from the mast of his ship.

After Blackbeard’s death, rumors began to spread about his supposed hidden treasure. The reports claimed that there was a considerable fortune in gold in the treasury. Of course, many tried to find him, but to this day no one has discovered Blackbeard’s treasures. But if anyone could find him (at least in the fictional world of television), it would be John B., Sarah, Ciara, Pope, JJ and Cleo in Outer Banks season 4.

Many believe that Blackbeard buried his treasure on Ocracoke Island in North Carolina, near the Outer Banks. According to Smithsonian magazineBlackbeard ruled Queen Anne’s Revenge into a sandbar off the coast of Beaufort, North Carolina, in June 1718, forcing them to abandon it when it sank to the bottom of the sea. The pirate and his crew reportedly retreated to Ocracoke Island aboard the vessel. Adventure, where Lieutenant Robert Maynard and his troops found and killed Blackbeard. Consequently, some believe that Blackbeard buried his treasure on Ocracoke during his stay. However, no one has ever proven the truth of this theory.

What counts crash Queen Anne’s Revenge was discovered off the coast of Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. in November 1996. There are no reports that a woman named Elizabeth was Blackbeard’s last wife.
Perhaps, when telling the story of Blackbeard, one should not refer to Outer Banks season 4. Unfortunately, the writers make up much of the pirate’s history to move the narrative forward, including his marital status. According to reports, Blackbeard was not married to a woman named Elizabeth at the time of his death, and she was not executed along with him. His last wife was supposedly Mary Ormond, but what happened to her is unclear. Hence, Elizabeth’s amulet, which Wes Jenrette asks the Pogs to take. Outer Banks Season 4, episode 2 – fictional.

The Blue Crown that Lightner and Dahlia are looking for is also fake. Since Blackbeard’s treasure is mostly rumored, the writers of the Netflix teen adventure drama had to come up with their own very valuable items that the pirate hid in and around North Carolina. So, the amulet of Blackbeard’s wife and the Blue Crown in Outer Banks Season 4 is not real. Additionally, the story of Blackbeard’s death in Outer Banks is also false.
Who really killed Blackbeard and where his ship crashed near the Outer Banks
Robert Maynard and his crew killed the pirate (not Francis Jenrette)
Wes Jenrette explains to the Pogs Outer Banks In season four it is stated that he is a direct descendant of Francis Jenrette, the British officer who captured and killed Blackbeard. However, in real life this is not the case. Francis is a fictional character created for the series. However, Francis is apparently based on Blackbeard’s real-life executor, Royal Navy Lieutenant Robert Maynard. Wes also reveals that after Francis beheaded Blackbeard (which is somewhat true, since Maynard cut off the pirate’s head), he also killed Blackbeard’s wife, Elizabeth. As mentioned above, Elizabeth is not a real person, so this part of the story is also false.
As for where Blackbeard crashed That AdventureIt is still unclear what happened to the ship. The Coast Guard discovered and excavated Queen Anne’s Revenge near Atlantic Beach, North Carolina, which is about 94 miles from the Outer Banks. However, the location Adventurethe sunken ship where JJ and Kiara are looking for Elizabeth’s amulet. Outer Banks Season 4 appears to be unknown.
