The boy in white stops Victor from cutting down the distant bottle tree
Your return comes with an important explanation
Victor takes an ax and decides to chop down the distant bottle tree, as his mother went there because of what he told her years ago. Victor only gets two hits in before the Boy in White (Vox Smith) appears and tells him to stop trying to chop down the tree. The Boy in White emphasizes that the tree is importantbut he cannot explain why, as the residents have to learn the truths for themselves. He tried to tell Christopher exactly what to do years ago, but it didn’t work out as planned.
This interaction also addresses the Boy in White looking older after years of looking the same, with the Boy in White explaining that he is changing now, just as everything in the city is changing. The Boy in White’s true motivations remain a mystery, but he is deeply committed to protecting the distant bottle tree. Tabitha makes a shocking discovery
This explains his connection to Victor
While searching for Fátima, Tabitha Matthews (Catalina Sandino Moreno) and Julie Matthews (Hannah Cheramy) follow one of the “Anghkooey” children to the basement where Fátima is being held. They don’t discover that Fatima is in the back room of the basement, because Victor is in the basement, looking at the place where he last saw his mother. As Tabitha comforts Victor and tells him that what happened to her wasn’t his fault, Tabitha sees the moment Victor’s mother said goodbye to her children and went to the distant bottle tree and was attacked by the smiling monster.
The larger implication is that Victor’s mother was reincarnated as Tabitha and that all of the residents may be trapped in a cycle of reincarnation.
While the exact nature of Tabitha’s discovery has not yet been confirmed, her discovery suggests that she and Victor’s mother are the same personthat’s why she has memories of her, including the scene of the distant tree and the monster that has never been seen before. The fact that Tabitha and Victor’s mother are the same person would explain the bond that Tabitha has with Victor and her always being loving and understanding towards him. The larger implication is that Victor’s mother was reincarnated as Tabitha and that all of the residents may be trapped in a cycle of reincarnation.

Boyd’s Parkinson’s disease symptoms are back
This was an important part of her season 1 story
In the first season, Boyd showed symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, mainly with tremors. This motivated him to go into the forest with Sara to find answers and save the villagers before the symptoms made him physically unable to do so. Despite the importance of Parkinson’s in season 1 Of ignored this part of Boyd’s story in season 2 and for almost all of season 3. Boyd begins to experience symptoms of Parkinson’s disease again in “Revelations: Chapter One”, this time in the form of tremors and freezing.
Freezing, in this context, means that the individual is suddenly and temporarily unable to move, which is exactly what happens to Boyd at one point in this episode. Because Boyd is now experiencing tremors and freezing, his resurfacing symptoms are more severe than they were in the first season. Bringing back this aspect of Boyd’s story and heightening the symptoms creates a sense of urgency and it doesn’t bode well for Boyd’s future in the city.

Sara hears the voices again
They insult her about Fatima

She stopped hearing the voices for a while, but they return in “Revelations: Chapter One” as they taunt her about Fatima being held captive somewhere nearby.
Sara shares this information with Boyd and his son, Ellis Stevens (Corteon Moore), and helps narrow the search for Fatima. The return of the voices proves that Sara still has a unique connection to the city and leaves her ready to be once again at the center of Ofbest characters in search of answers. With so many residents fearing and hating her, she was relegated to the sidelines for a while, but between Victor coming to her for help during season three and her hearing the voices back, her role will likely be more prominent in the future.

Kenny returns to be Boyd’s deputy
Your bond has been restored
Ever since Kenny Liu (Ricky He) learned in Season 2 that Boyd knew about Sara killing her father and kept that information from him, Kenny and Boyd’s relationship hasn’t been the same. It was also after that that Kenny is no longer Boyd’s deputy. However, Kenny and Boyd’s relationship has gradually healed, and this episode sees them fully reconcile. Boyd asks when he leaves or can no longer be sheriff, if Kenny will be willing to become the town’s sheriff.
Kenny doesn’t want to talk about Boyd leaving and instead says he will be Boyd’s deputy again. Boyd and Kenny are officially a team again and mended their broken relationship. This prepares Kenny to become yet another leader in Of Season 4 and for him to possibly even replace Boyd if his character is killed off. Now that Kenny lives at Colony House, he is even more rooted in the community and with the other residents, which could serve him well in his leadership in the future.

Donna refuses to tell the residents who killed Tillie
It changes tone compared to the previous episode
Donna Raines (Elizabeth Saunders) was previously adamant that she would tell the residents about Fatima killing Tillie (Deborah Grover) if Boyd refused to do so. This episode shows Donna taking a different stance on the issue as she thinks about how much Fátima means personally to her and the other residents and that revealing what happened will do more harm than good. She also recognizes that everything that is happening to Fátima is not her fault and is due to the dark forces controlling her.
Coming to this conclusion helps Donna and Boyd reconcile after their previously heated disagreements over how to handle the Fatima situation, and gets them back on the same page. Donna’s decision balances her personal needs with the needs of Colony House and the township’s residents, and serves as a reminder of why she is an effective leader. If the residents turn against Fátima, it won’t be because of Donna.

Boyd unites residents in search of Fátima
It’s a time for strong leadership
Donna previously told Boyd that residents were losing faith in him. This was evident the last time he gathered everyone at the restaurant for a meeting following Tabitha’s unexpected return, as residents expressed their doubts about Boyd’s leadership. “Revelations: Chapter One” shows Boyd regaining some of the residents’ trust When he gathers them in front of the cafeteria, he tells them that Fátima is missing and inspires them to look for her and prove to the Municipality that he will not defeat them.
While the overall faith and trust in Boyd isn’t as strong as it once was, there’s still enough that he’s able to rally everyone and unite them on a mission to save one of their own.
Although Fátima has not yet been found or saved, This feels like a triumphant moment for Boyd and the residentseven though he is hiding the truth that Fátima was the one who killed Tillie. While the overall faith and trust in Boyd isn’t as strong as it once was, there’s still enough that he’s able to rally everyone and unite them on a mission to save one of their own. Now the question is whether Fátima can be located before it is too late for her.

Fátima discovers a hatch in the basement
The importance of the wine cellar continues to grow
When Elgin goes looking for Fatima with Ellis, as if he doesn’t know where she is, Fátima discovers a hatch in the floor of the cellar’s back room. She doesn’t have a chance to open it before the ghostly woman in the kimono silences her, as she doesn’t want the villagers to find Fátima. Very similar to the hatch discovered in LostThere are probably revolutionary secrets hidden beneath, which in this case could help Fátima and possibly reveal more about the city’s history.
The corpse in OfThe root cellar that Elgin discovered in episode 7 has yet to be explained, nor has the rock-crushed body that Jade Herrera (David Alpay) saw there in a vision at the beginning of season 1. hatch door, along with a connection to the distant tree that transported Julie to the basement when she escaped the Colony House massacre in the first season. This discovery could be Fátima’s last chance to save herself before Of season 3 ends.
