    As part of the Sims 4: Life and Death expansion, Sims can get closer to the spiritual realm than ever before, especially with the Ghost Whisperer trait. So if your Sim enjoys communicating and discussing the supernatural, this is the perfect trait to bring them closer to a career in all things mysterious.

    Unfortunately, it’s not as simple as just unlocking the Ghost Whisperer trait, as it is a reward received only as part of the Ghost Historian aspiration, which involves writing horror novels. However, if you are not interested in going through the process and unlocking the other rewards naturally, you can always opt for a cheat code. Cheat code usage varies depending on your platform; however, it is not as complicated as expected.

    How to get the Ghost Whisperer trait

    Complete the Ghost Historian Aspiration

    As stated, the only way to unlock the Ghost Whisperer trait without using any kind of cheat is through the Ghost Historian aspiration. The Ghost Historian aspiration has four levels and multiple tasks to complete. Not only will you be able to unlock the Ghost Whisperer trait, but if your Sim has been hoping to add writing horror novels to their bucket list, this is a great way to unlock that reward as well.

    Completing the aspiration itself isn’t particularly difficult, but it can be extremely tedious as some steps require things like leveling up your writing skills. For those who have already done this, it will be a walk in the park, as the longest part is behind us.

    Entering the Spirit

    • Make friends with a ghost – You should be able to find one fairly easily in well-known locations in Ravenwood.

    • Reach Thanatology Level 2 – The easiest way to level up this skill is by researching on a home PC or reading a book related to the skill.

    • Reach Writing Level 2 – Practice writing on a home PC to increase this skill.

    Writer Among Wraiths

    • Befriend Another Ghost – Simply repeat what you did the first time with a new ghostly companion.

    • Find a rare item in a crypt – You can use any crypt you want; just interact with it and select the option to explore it.

    • Reach Thanatology Level 3 – Level up this skill using the same methods mentioned previously.

    • Reach writing level 3 – Return to writing on your PC.

    Phantom Fantasy

    • Find a rare item in a crypt – It’s time to get your hands dirty again by exploring another crypt.

    • Make contact with Edith – For this task, you can approach Edith at the well near the house in Crow’s Crossing and try to communicate with her, or you can finish Alice’s quest.

    • Reach Writing Level 7 – Once again, return to the PC to write more.

    Spectrally spectacular

    • Write a Horror Book – Specifically, you need to write 3 of them to complete this task, but you’ve also unlocked the ability to write Horror now, whenever you want.

    • Earn Royalties by Publishing Books – This is quite simple as there isn’t much you can do on your part, but publish the horror books you are writing and wait until you earn 2,000 Simoleons in Sims 4 for this task to be completed.

    After fully completing the Ghost Historian aspiration, you will now have the Ghost Whisperer trait unlocked, as well as the ability to write horror novels if your Sim is interested. For fans of all things spooky in the Sims, this is the perfect way to get acquainted with the ghosts of Sims 4.
