Pirates play a very important role in The Mandalorian season 3. Although they initially seem like a mere distracting and antagonizing force in the season’s opening episode, they return later with a greater purpose. It is revealed in the opening scene of The Mandalorian 3rd season that these pirates were hired by the Imperial Remnant, specifically Moff Gideon and Elia Kane, to attack Nevarro. This gives pirates an even greater role in Star Wars galaxy, what could play Skeleton Crew – making these episodes worth rewatching.

The episodes listed above show Hondo in full action, especially when it comes to interacting with other pirates or simply with things that happen in the course of pirating work. These lessons learned from Hondo could certainly be useful in Skeleton Crewand it will be even more valuable if the famous pirate appears at some point during the live TV program. Either way, there’s a lot to learn from Hondo’s pirate adventures, which will no doubt inform those seen in Skeleton Crew.
The Warbird Gang of the Star Wars Resistance

The two listed above, however, contain their introduction to the galaxy and the moment they cross paths with perhaps the most famous pirate of this era (aside from Hondo, of course): Sidon Ithano, the “Crimson Corsair.” Sidon Ithano was first seen in Star Wars: The Force Awakens as the person who offered transportation to Finn off Takodana when he initially intended to flee the First Order rather than join the Resistance. Although it is unlikely that he will be very active during the Skeleton Crewhe is still a notable pirate figure in the galaxy.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew premieres December 3 on Disney+.
