Daisy Kelliher returned as Chief Stew in Sailing yacht below deck Season 5, but she might be the best female villain in the series. The Irish Stew first joined the Bravo spin-off cast in Sailing yacht below deck Season 2, replacing the chaotic Jenna MacGillivray. Known for her sense of humor and down-to-earth professionalism, Daisy’s story changed when she became involved in a love triangle with first mate Gary King and former chief engineer Colin Macrae.
Sailing yacht below deck Season 5 has been a wild ride so far. Daisy confronted Gary in the season premiere about the fallout from her boat with Colin. Additionally, chef Cloyce Martin seems a little big for his britches, bragging about his culinary prowess and preferring to hang out with the guests by overpreparing the food. Danni Warren is more concerned about flirting than doing her job, and Diana Cruz may continue to cause trouble. Amid all the drama, could Daisy be a villain?

Daisy is feuding with Diana on and off screen
Could she be the bad guy?
Diana has made it clear that she doesn’t like Daisy on and off screen, even suggesting that she is a tyrannical boss. Their rivalry began when Daisy gave her stews a cocktail-making class to hone their bartending skillswhich Diana resented. Diana reluctantly made a drink for a crew member, but soon left, leaving fellow stew Danni Warren to tend the bar alone. Daisy, unimpressed with Diana’s lack of cooperation, reprimanded her and warned her that as a result she would have to repeat bartending.
In response to the episode, Diana got spicy online. In a now-deleted Instagram post, she defended her stance, arguing that it was unfair to ask her to prepare drinks outside of business hours. She also attacked Daisy, calling her “bad leadr” and insinuating that Daisy’s criticisms stem from her own frustrations, making Daisy a potential villain. Although Diana did not seem like an especially hard worker, it was unfair for Daisy to force her to work during her leisure hours.

Daisy can be passive-aggressive
She may seem condescending
Daisy used to be direct, but her leadership style became more passive-aggressive over time. Her strained relationship with Chef Cloyce led to several passive-aggressive exchanges. Daisy was frustrated when Chef Cloyce questioned whether the table was empty for dessert service, despite her having already confirmed this through another crew member. However, communication was never direct and she seemed more condescending than a strong leader.
Daisy’s leadership style has changed since she first appeared on Below Deck Sailing Yacht as Chief Stew.
Daisy’s passive-aggressive tendencies also come out when managing her teamprobably why Diana and Danni can’t stand her. In one incident, she told a stewing Diana that she would have to work at the bar next time, after leaving her co-worker Danni to handle everything herself. This caused Diana to go online and could lead to more friction in future episodes.

Daisy didn’t care about Danni’s feelings towards her table
She is not very empathetic
Daisy also has problems with her other stew, Danni. The stew proved that she cares more about flirting with Keith Allen and Gary than doing her job, and Daisy doesn’t know how to deal with her. In one case, Danni started crying because of what she considered “Daisy’s”tacky“table decoration. Daisy seemed to know it was cheesy and stated that was the point. In a state of shock and frustration, she was rude to Danni, dismissing her feelings about the situation.

She also lost her temper with Danni when she made a mistake setting the table, forcing Daisy to fix the mistake before the guests’ meal was served. Daisy used to be a direct but kind Chief Stew, but her temper worsened towards Danni and Diana. While it was frustrating to manage the duo, it could lead to her becoming a villain in future episodes.

Daisy yelled at Gary during service
She needs to maintain professionalism with her previous affair
Daisy’s relationship with Gary could turn her into a villain. In the season premiere, she confronted him about his behavior last season. After Gary and Daisy were off-screen between seasons 3 and 4, Daisy started a boat with Colin. Gary and Colin were good friends and Colin’s relationship with Daisy made him jealous. He purposely tried to undermine his boat and cause trouble. While Colin and Daisy finally broke upDaisy criticized Gary for not being there for her as a friend while she was going through a breakup.
It appeared that Daisy and Gary discussed the matter, but Daisy later yelled at Gary for not listening to her orders. Daisy and Gary have similar positions on Parsifal III, both reporting directly to Captain Glenn Shephard. Gary might have pissed Daisy off, but she didn’t necessarily have the right to yell at him.

Daisy plays the victim
She doesn’t take responsibility
Daisy may still be a fan favorite, but she seems to play the victim on the show. During Sailing yacht below deck In season 4, a love triangle developed between Daisy, Gary and Colin, which led to conflicts where Daisy often positioned herself as the victim. After her liaison with Gary was revealed while she was dating Colin, Daisy deflected the blame onto Gary. Colin, who was frustrated, told Daisy to take responsibility for her actions rather than blaming others.
Daisy expressed feeling overwhelmed and under pressure, claiming she had excessive responsibility as chief stew on the sailing yacht, her job. She may be on the verge of a breakdown, due to Daisy’s relationships with Diana and Danniand she will no doubt blame them for her vengeful behavior. Daisy struggles to take criticism, which is why she tends to play the victim when things go wrong.

Daisy is having problems with chef Cloyce
They’re having a power struggle
Daisy and Chef Cloyce started butting heads Sailing yacht below deck Season 5, and Daisy could become the villain amid the rivalry. Chef Cloyce, a 22-year-old chef with yachting experience but new to working on the Parsifal III, struggled with Daisy over service expectations and kitchen logistics. Chef Cloyce’s meal schedule made Daisy angry, but she behaved passive-aggressively.

Their disagreements were also compounded by different understandings of service protocol. For example, Chef Cloyce’s approach to timing and meal preparation conflicted with Daisy’s preferred service flow. Although Captain Glenn encouraged them to resolve issues independently to build a stronger team, he kept a watchful eye, especially when Chef Cloyce began abandoning orders on the yacht, leaving with the charter guests. As Daisy and Chef Cloyce continue to clash, she may become the villain.

Daisy is always stirring the pot
She loves drama
Daisy seems to enjoy the drama Sailing yacht below deck season 5. She watched the drama brewing between sailor Emma Crouch and stews Diana and Danni during a night out and did nothing to mitigate the drunken argument. Plus, she messed with Gary in the season premiere when she brought up old issues from Season 4. The only real reason for doing this on camera was to increase the tension and make his plot more dramatic.
One of her biggest moments of turmoil involved the ongoing tension with Chef Cloyce. Daisy criticized Cloyce for a series of kitchen mishapsincluding a disastrous attempt to prepare a birthday cake, which he decided to heat up, causing it to collapse and become inedible. Daisy didn’t hold back, calling his approach “horrible” and unprofessional, which escalated the strained relationship and added to the overall drama on the boat.
1
Daisy lets personal issues affect performance
She suffered professionally during the love triangle
Daisy’s ultimate descent into villainy may lie in her inability to prevent her problems from affecting her performance at work. Season 4 saw Daisy involved in a love triangle with Gary and Colin, which increased stress and tension both personally and professionally. Due to the drama, she became distracted from her duties as Chief Stew. She’s already proven that she can’t work effectively with Gary because of their problems. Daisy has been rude and demanding with Gary until now and it could explode if he ends up with Danni in the next few episodes.
During the love triangle debacle, Daisy struggled with the pressure of her professional responsibilities, always feeling overwhelmed. This led her to occasionally step away from crew meetings to decompress, which affected her leadership. Your transparency about these struggles, both on social media and Sailing yacht below deckindicates that she could become a villain if she can’t balance these roles.
