Spy X Family fans may want a happy ending for Lloyd, but the series only hinted that is not possible

Spy X Family is an endlessly entertaining series, but it portrays some fairly tortured characters due to their interactions with a world constantly in and out of conflict amid a cold war. In the last arc, one particularly persistent trend is highlighted for Lloyd ForgerAlso Agent Twilight, how he sometimes lets his struggles go and keep a level head on the mission.

While his mission is endearing and Fans may want a happy ending for LoidIt seems that his prodigious and steadfast dedication to the mission also makes this a difficult goal to achieve Spy X Family. Lloyd’s motivation was to create a world in which children would not feel the need to cry, sparked largely by his harrowing experiences growing up in a Vestal ravaged by war. But even in the presence of a thoughtful and patient year, Lloyd has difficulty embracing peace, making a happy ending for his character difficult to realize.

Spy X Family Chapter #103 centers on the Forger family who, during Anya’s school break, embark on an excursion to find Belle, the escaped Nordic seal, with Lloyd consistently questioning the fuss. While the news covers Belle’s escape, he can’t help but wonder why they don’t have other topics to cover. When he sits with Jar when he is out with the family, he can’t sit still and enjoy the quiet moment, and when they find Belle, he suspects that she has escaped from Project Apple, an experiment possibly connected to Donovan Desmond in Spy X Family.

It is clear that Even in times of peace, Lloyd cannot allow himself to be happy. While this makes Lloyd an excellent agent for WISE, it also ironically makes it difficult for him to enjoy the peace he strives for. Since the WISE Arc outlined Lloyd’s horrifying trauma in Chapter #62, it’s hard for fans to miss what Lloyd perceives as a stake. Still, the restlessness is hard to bear; Lloyd should let himself be happy from time to time.

With recent arcs more aggressively outlining how quickly Vestalis’ operations in Ostania can turn sour and devolve into war, such as the Mole Hunt arc or thwarting an assassination attempt on a Vestalian diplomat, Lloyd’s position is critical. He has the unenviable task of preventing any of this from reaching the public, That would cause tensions with Ostania to erupt into war. So, in a way, Lloyd must sacrifice the luxury of being happy and carefree so that others can experience the feeling within Spy X Family.

Although it is uncertain whether Lloyd will really allow himself to be happy, even at the end of Spy X FamilyThis does not stop him from bringing joy into the life of the Farger family. Recent instances of this include a winter cabin getaway-turned-murder mystery in chapter #94 and encouraging Anya to dance with Damian in chapter #96.

While Loid Forger is an increasingly tortured, troubled hero, the series never loses its positive, uplifting tone. Lloyd’s unflinching dedication to the mission is what gives him the opportunity to create a happier ending than other stories doomed by war in Spy X Family.
