Warning! Spoilers ahead for Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 3.Just three episodes later, Chief Dom Pascal fires Jack Damon. Chicago Fire Season 13, and while I think this is the right decision, I have two problems. Like the rest of One Chicago, Fire Station 51 has gone through so many changes in the past year.. Despite a fairly short run due to the double Hollywood strikes in 2023, the team was eliminated several times. I’ll admit, I’m sad to see so many longtime characters go, like Blake Gallo, Sylvie Brett, and Chief Wallace Boden, but it allowed for some interesting changes to be made to Chicago Fire Season 13 cast.
The latest additions to Firehouse 51 take center stage Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 3, “All Kinds of Madness.” Following the conflict created by Benny Severide’s son, Jack Damon, between his half-brother Kelly Severide and his wife Stella Kidd, things become much more complicated as they are forced to continue working together. I thought it was an organic way to introduce tension into the couple’s marriage, rather than adding to their differences over having children. However, the story comes to an end when Kidd tells Dom Pascal the truth about Damon.
Dom Pascal was right to fire Jack Damon on Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 13
Kelly’s brother Severide is out of action
As skeptical as I am about Dom Pascal as Chief Boden’s replacement, I accept that he did the right thing by firing Damon. Chicago Fire season 13, episode 3. However, the point is as simple as the fact that he initially thought about eliminating Kidd, convinced that she was the reason for the high turnover of members in Truck 81. Although this seems to be the case, given his stories under her leadership, I was also convinced that his choice was partly due to the fact that he did not want Kidd and Severide to work together on the same shift.
Officially, Pascal Damon’s departure is good for Firehouse 51 due to his work ethic, but personally, not having him around reduces potential problems for Severide and Kidd.
Luckily, before Pascal can officially write Kidd her transfer papers, he learns the truth about Damon. Getting rid of Severide’s brother is ultimately the right decision, especially after how radically he has changed over the past couple of years. Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode Not only is he reckless and disobedient, but he also doesn’t have the problems that give his brother and sister-in-law problems. Officially, Pascal Damon’s departure is good for Firehouse 51 due to his work ethic, but personally, not having him around reduces potential problems for Severide and Kidd.

Besides getting rid of Damon and preventing any more problems he might cause, I also appreciate that. Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 13 gives us more insight into Pascal’s leadership style. He really had such a bad idea, and it would be a while before he and the rest of Firehouse 51 could truly trust each other. However, seeing how he changed his mind, I understand that despite his harsh behavior, at least we can always count on him to be fair.
Jack Damon’s firing continues the Chicago Fire’s failure to stabilize its roster.
Chicago firefighters hit by cast changes
In the bigger picture, Damon’s firing is great for Chicago Fire. However, I have a couple of concerns that arose from the aftermath of the incident. First, losing Damon means Kidd will have to go through a rigorous process to find new talent for Truck 81. Since Gallo left in Chicago Fire season 12, there have been several replacements on the team who eventually left.
Gibson’s growing rapport with Sam Carver was also intriguing…
Damon’s predecessor was Derrick Gibson, who seemed to be doing well until he was unexpectedly discharged. Personally, I liked Gibson. He was interesting and I feel that Chicago Fire I could spend more time studying his biography. I was also intrigued by Gibson’s growing rapport with Sam Carver. Unfortunately, before One Chicago could do anything significant with the character, he decided to leave to deal with some personal issues.

However, outside of Truck 81, Chicago Fire season 13 need stabilityespecially after some major cast departures over the last couple of years. Although the series mainly deals with the weekly fires, its main attraction is the characters and their chemistry. Unfortunately, it is difficult for an ensemble to come together when there is a constantly revolving door of players. I’m all for changing things up to keep things fresh, but not when it happens every few months.
Jack Damon leaves Firehouse 51 and ends his story with Severide
Chicago Fire barely got to grips with Damon and Severide’s relationship
My second problem with Damon’s dismissal has to do with his relationship with Severide. Although he was introduced halfway through Chicago Fire In season 12, only in the finale did we learn about his real connection with the lieutenant of the third squad. In fact, my biggest gripe this year is that I can’t see the consequences of this confession since Season 13 began after a significant time jump. When he returned, Benny Severide’s sons were already together. Chicago Fire Getting rid of Damon in Season 13 makes the problem worse because it ends the brothers’ storyline.
Apart from the fact that they didn’t see how they developed an easy rapport after Damon’s big revelation in Chicago Fire In the season 12 finale, their relationship is also immediately destroyed due to younger brother Severide’s change in attitude.
At this point, we have barely explored their dynamics. It would be great if more of them talked about their different upbringings and memories of their father. I also liked that Severide had someone else to interact with on a regular basis besides Kidd. Unfortunately, One Chicago didn’t give the relationship enough time to really blossom. Apart from the fact that they didn’t see how they developed an easy rapport after Damon’s big revelation in Chicago Fire In the season 12 finale, their relationship is also immediately destroyed due to younger brother Severide’s change in attitude.
Will Jack Damon be able to return after being fired?
The door is open for Damon’s reappearance
The good news is that since he’s not dead, the door remains open for Damon to reappear in the world. Chicago Fire. While I doubt he’ll still be able to come back and become a full-time member of Firehouse 51, especially after his latest fight with his brother, the show could bring him back to continue his story with Severide. Admittedly, what he’s done with the team these past few weeks is reprehensible, especially pitting his brother against his wife.
Chicago Fire I can leave the storyline as it is, but aside from ending Damon’s time on the show, I think closure is also very important for Severide.
However, I also want to see a proper solution to this issue. Chicago Fire I can leave the storyline as it is, but aside from ending Damon’s time on the show, I think closure is also very important for Severide. The fact that he would allow his little brother to leave in such a way would likely haunt him, even though Damon was no longer physically present at Firehouse 51. At least not. Chicago Fire Season 13 should give them one last conversation.
