Although it has flown under the radar since its premiere in 2020, Industry has earned a solid following over the years which has seen its third season produce the show’s best ratings yet. Still, it was unclear whether the show would return for a fourth season, especially as parent company Warner Bros. Discovery has cut costs and canceled many series and movies in recent years.

now, HBO has officially confirmed that Industry will return for season 4 after the show’s fate remained up in the air during its third season. The news comes ahead of the final two episodes of season 3 airing on the network. Regarding the renewal, Kay and Dawn said:

Why You Should Watch Industry (There’s Still Time To Catch Up)

It is a spiritual successor to succession (sort of)

Although it was uncertain, the events of Industry Season 3 seemed to indicate that the show might end when its final episode airs on September 29. Fortunately, that’s not the case. With eight episodes per season, it’s not a long watch and the series is immediately compelling thanks to central performances from Marisa Abela, Myha’la, Harry Lawter and Ken Leung.

Although some major characters have excelled ahead of Industry Season 3, the core cast remains solid, and the series has introduced a revolving slate of guest stars that keeps things interesting. In season 2, Jay Duplass appeared as Jesse Bloom, a cocky hedge fund manager who is involved with Myha’la’s Harper. Season 3 has perhaps the show’s biggest guest star yet, Mit Game of Thrones Alum Kit Harington starring as the uber-rich manchild Henry Mook, while Barry Star Sarah Goldberg joined as Petra, a ruthless hedge fund manager.
