Although The Wild Robot seems almost certain to reach the all-time Top 100, this is just the icing on the cake of a dazzling theatrical showing. That critical and commercial success, combined with the Oscar buzz, means that the next sequel, which is already in development, likely won’t be the last installment in this booming franchise.
