I went to the theater to see Juror #2Clint Eastwood’s latest film. We enjoyed it tremendously. It is – in a way – his Crimes and Misdemeanors. The film is shot with precision and security and is directed by Nicolas Hoult. The cast acts beautifully and has an ending that leaves the theater buzzing.

Its central dilemma reminded me of the quiet turmoil that simmered beneath Dana Andrews in her choice Preminger Noir (for me- Where does the sidewalk end) and fights against it supported by a well-paced structure and well-considered twists. Why wasn’t this widely publicized in the states?

We saw a significant crowd at the Grove that was vocal and welcoming the entire way. I really hope WB can hold on longer. Eastwood is a master filmmaker and his constant, uncomplicated work reveals him to still be in great shape. Go see it on the big screen!
