The creative appears to have broken his season 1 curse

Although there is a possibility that the score will drop, LandmanThe Rotten Tomatoes premiere score is a promising sign that Sheridan has officially broken her season 1 curse. Despite having an Oscar nominee to his name and several hit shows in the works, many of Sheridan’s shows met a more mixed response in their debut seasonsincluding yellow stone and led by Jeremy Renner Mayor of Kingstown. While your yellow stone prequels and King of Tulsawhich is displayed by The Sopranos‘ Terence Winter proved to be a huge hit from the start with critics others gained favor with critics in subsequent seasons. Both the main line yellow stone and Lioness overcame their first critical mistakes to have seasons with perfect 100% approval from critics, while Mayor of Kingstown it got progressively better reviews with each new season. Until King of Tulsa Season 2 scored 100%, a step up from Season 1’s already impressive 79%.

As such, if his new show’s debut soundtrack holds up after its premiere, Landman could very well prove that Sheridan has finally found the right formula to break his season 1 curse. While reviews aren’t entirely important in the grand scheme of a show’s future, especially since Moore has indicated that season two is already in the works, having critics on the show’s side would go a long way toward selling the show beyond Sheridan’s dedicated fanbase.

Our Take on Landman’s Rotten Tomatoes Debut Score

Even a slight drop wouldn’t hurt the program’s chances

Considering the show started with a 60% rating from critics when this story was first written, LandmanThe 82% apparently points to it being another success for Sheridan. Even though it has gone back to the rotten side of the scale, I can’t imagine it will affect the drama’s chances of success, as Sheridan has built a strong fan base since the drama’s release. yellow stone franchise, and I can’t imagine them not watching at least a few episodes to see if they think it’s up to par with another neo-Western drama.

The first two episodes of Landman premieres on Paramount+ on November 17, followed by new episodes every Sunday.
