The ghosts convince Sam to audition for the play
Alberta has a history of show business
Despite her hesitation due to previous experience with the show, Sam decides to audition for Anything goes. Still, it takes some encouragement from the ghosts of the CBS series – especially Alberta, who has a history in show business. Alberta encourages Sam to pursue her dream of being on stage, noting that she misses the spotlight. The opportunity arises when one of the Hudson Valley players, the protagonist of the program, has to leave the production.
Sam left out the part of the story where she couldn’t do it because she threw up before she could even sing.
The lead role that is available, Reno Sweeney, is the role that Sam auditioned for in high school. However, Sam left out the part of the story where she couldn’t do it because she threw up before she could even sing. The negative experience prevents Sam from achieving his dream, so Alberta nods encouragingly. As Alberta is a Prohibition-era jazz club singer, she has plenty of show business stories to make Sam feel better.

Sasappis discovers she is dating Jay in her dreams
Sass encounters a harsh romantic reality
After Sass sees Marisa in Jay’s dreams again, he tells the other ghosts how great it is to hang out with her. However, when Sasappis starts listing Marisa’s qualities that make her easygoing – like the fact that she’s a superhero and Star Wars fan – Trevor and Pete point out the harsh reality of the spirit’s new girlfriend. The ghosts make Sass see that since all of Marisa’s interests align with Jay’s, this proves that she is just a creation of his subconscious.
Sasappis is devastated and feels understandably awkward about the development. Despite the series’ ability to broaden its ghost lore to incorporate wild plots, nothing could explain Marisa’s ability to communicate with Sass in Jay’s dream without just being an extension of Jay’s subconscious. The plot continues the troubled courtship story of the Lenape spirit. Sass wants a girlfriend but hasn’t found someone he can connect.

Thor is missing from Ghosts season 4, episode 5
Where is Thor?
With all the commotion, it is not immediately noticeable that Thor is missing Ghosts season 4, episode 5. The Viking ghost is normally involved in the affairs of the house, so it was strange to see him leave. His absence has led some to wonder if the ghost is missing or if he’s just somewhere else in “A Star Is Dead.” Still, it’s a huge event for the mansion by anyone’s standards, guaranteeing Thor’s appearance.
Episode 6 may clarify whether the ghost is missing or if he just had other matters to attend to. If it is the latter, the next installment of the Ghosts will probably keep up with the Viking and whatever he’s doing. Thor can’t stay missing for long, especially without the other ghosts noticing. Flower and Thor have rekindled their romance, so the hippie will miss him if he’s away.
