Marvel confirmed how old Scarlet Witch was when she died in the MCU via Agatha all alongAnd it makes her story even more heartbreaking. Picking up three years after the end of WandaVision, Agatha all along Episode 1 sees Agatha Harkness (Cathryn Hahn) trapped in a spell mimicking a true crime show like More from EasttownIn which she is a police detective tasked with solving the murder of an unidentified woman. It becomes increasingly clear that the dead body belongs to Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch, until it is finally confirmed by the toe tag in the morgue.
Agatha all along is the first in-universe confirmation that Scarlet Witch died at the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness When she destroyed the Darkhold across the multiverse and brought down Mount Wundagore. Since Wanda died off screen, there was some doubt about her fate, but that has been put to rest now Agatha all along Confirmed Scarlet Witch is indeed dead. And now we know how old she was when she sacrificed herself.
Scarlet Witch was in her late 20s when she died

in Agatha all along Episode 1, when Agatha goes to the Westview morgue to prove that she did not imagine the dead body in her case, and finds nothing there, she lists the unidentified woman’s characteristics to herself, so that the body reappears. Agatha says, “She was in her late 20s, green eyes, 5’7″. hair the color of…scarlet.” This description, along with the later confirmation that the dead body is, in fact, Wanda Maximoff, reveals the approximate age of Scarlet Witch when she died in Multiverse of Madness.

The trauma she experienced, and the fallout from it, was explored in WandaVisionDelving deep into the loss her character has felt. When she had to give up her children, she turned to dark magic, and ultimately killed herself to protect the multiverse.

The fact that Scarlet Witch was not even 30 years old when she died Makes Wanda’s tragic life even more heartbreaking because she suffered so much in such a short timeAnd at such a young age. The Marvel universe is filled with many tragic stories and unfortunate endings for characters, but it’s safe to say that the MCU story of Scarlet Witch is among the most difficult. So much so that we can only hope it’s not over yet.
There was speculation that Agatha all along Will resurrect Scarlet Witch or otherwise set up her MCU return. If that’s the case, Marvel has the opportunity to give Wanda a chance at true redemption. While her moment of sacrifice showed that she was a hero in the end, it would be much more satisfying to see her back in the MCU and fighting alongside the Avengers again. If she was in her late 20s when she died, that means Scarlet Witch had a lot more life to live.And hopes she will return to continue living or in Agatha all along Or another MCU release.
