Ali feuded with Aesha and she could redeem herself in season 10
Ali and Aesha may make up in season 10
Most of Ali’s conflict during the end of the charter season stemmed from her working relationship with Aesha. She felt hurt when they brought Carrie on board to assist the interior department. Ali didn’t know how much Aesha was struggling alone as Chief Stu and thought Carrie’s addition to the crew was unguaranteed. However, she should not have made passive-aggressive comments to Chief Stu when Carrie was asked to help with housekeeping. Ellie felt like her job as second stew was threatenedBut she should have invited Kerry’s presence in the crew.
When Eli tried to confront Aesha about Carrie being immediately put on duty, Chief Stu shut down her efforts. She told Ali that she had decided to put the new stew where she wanted it. Ellie’s selfishness blinded her to the needs of the crew and led to her split with Aesha. However, it seems that she has made a lot of progress since they wrapped filming. If Ali were to return for season 10, it would be a great opportunity for her to mend fences with Aesha and learn from the mistakes she made during Below Deck Med Season 9.
Ellie can be a producer plant due to her tendency to get involved in drama
She enjoys being at the center of the storyline
There are signs that Ali is a productive plant due to her tendency to get involved in conflict. Instead of obeying the orders, the second cook took it upon himself to confirm his dominance in the team. She stepped out of line on numerous occasions and created unwarranted tension with the interior team. If Allie wasn’t a production plant, she might have bitten her tongue and listened to Aesha and Captain Sandy’s guidance throughout the season. Also, she was not fired for her bad behavior, further hinting she may have been a production plant on Below Deck Med Season 9.
