I can’t believe Knives 3 didn’t cast the 1st actress who is so obviously perfect

I was a fan of these Knives Out franchise since the first movie was released in 2019. Since that point, Rian Johnson’s burgeoning series has gained a reputation for its intriguing mysteries and expansive cast lists. In each of the previous installments, the impressive ensemble of acting talent was a key part of the film’s success, and Knife out 3His character is no exception. However, while the likes of Andrew Scott, Jeremy Renner and Josh Brolin are exciting additions, I believe one missing name would massively improve the movie.

Ryan Johnson Knife out 3Also known as Wake Deadman: A Knives Out Mysterywill premiere on streaming in 2025. Although details of the plot are still heavily under wraps, I am encouraged by information about the cast, with all the evidence suggesting that the film will continue the franchise’s impressive track record. However, with past roles proving her huge potential to thrive in a murder mystery, I think so Aubrey Plaza is absolutely the missing piece of Johnson’s Jigsaw.

Aubrey Plaza’s past roles confirm that she would be perfect in the Knives franchise

Plaza’s Parks and Recreation (2009-2015) roles may be adapted into the franchise

April and Andy in Fancy Dress as Janet Snakehole and Burt McLean in Parks and Recreation

Like a long time Parks and Recreation Viewers, it’s clear to me that Plaza’s performance as April Ludgate proves her fit for that Knives Out Franchise. April’s standoffish nature would complement a whodunit nicely. On the surface, her character doesn’t seem to care for anyone around her, but she’s actually much more complex and will fiercely protect you. Plaza uses this trait to imbue April with ambiguity—an essential ingredient in any murder mystery. The fact that viewers are constantly guessing Where April’s loyalties are proven Plaza can handle the intricacies of a comic thriller like Knives Out.

Given the over-the-top dramatics of her performance, Plaza could easily use that flair to play with conventional murder mystery tropes.

For me, some of the standout features of Parks and Recreation These are the moments where Plaza and her on-screen husband, Chris Pratt, are riffing off each other against the backdrop of the main story. One memorable moment comes from season 3, episode 13, “The Fight,” in which April (Plaza) and Andy (Pratt) are kept entertained at the Snakehole Lounge by role-playing Janet Snakehole, a wealthy widow with a secret, and F. BI. Agent, Bert McLean. Given the over-the-top dramatics of her performance, Plaza could easily use that flair to play with conventional murder mystery tropes.

Which knifes out character role Aubrey Plaza would excel the most in

Aubrey Plaza has a diverse acting portfolio

Despite her background, beginning in theater and improvisational performances, Plaza has been the subject of heavy criticism in the past from individuals who believe that all her characters are cut from the same cloth, and that is simply not true. Emily the criminal is a definitive example of Plaza’s chain, III Her role takes a look at the grittier side of Plaza. In one scene, one scene in particular, Emily is caught in a violent rage against her boss trying to take advantage of her work, and it’s the kind of anger that a Plaza character in Knives Out can use

Although these Knives Out Character, Ransom Drysdale, has many undesirable traits, there are certain elements that provide a healthy template for a character role for Plaza. Ransom has a terrible relationship with his family, and treats everyone around him as inferior – details that clearly correlate with some past Plaza characters. It has already been proven that this archetype can thrive in a Benoit Blanc mystery, meaning that Plaza should absolutely be considered for a similar role in the Knives Out Franchise.
