I want Marvel to revive 1 Netflix series to bring back the MCU’s forgotten heroes

I think a second season of The defenders In the MCU would be the perfect way to bring back some of Marvel Studios’ newest heroes, many of whom seem to have been forgotten. Originally, Marvel TV developed The defenders As a miniseries, bringing together the street-level heroes of Netflix’s Defenders saga against a common enemy, Elektra Natchios and The Hand. A second season was never planned, but I’m thinking of reviving The defenders It would be a fantastic choice for the MCU, especially given the many new street-level heroes.

Marvel Studios has recently been on a revival kick, continuing X-Men: The Animated Series in 2024 X-Men ’97and developing phase 5s Daredevil: Born Again Like a continuation of Netflix Daredevil Series. It made me very happy, and I’d hate for Marvel to stop now, because there are some other brilliant shows I’d love to see revived in the MCU. The one I find most exciting, however, is The defendersBecause I think this could make a strong backbone for the MCU Disney+ projectsand confirm the futures of some forgotten heroes.

The future of many MCU Disney + heroes is uncertain

Some heroes haven’t been seen since they first appeared in the MCU

Marvel Studios branched out into television with the start of the multiverse saga, kicking off with one of my personal favorites, WandaVisionThe first MCU TV series to release on Disney+. Agatha all along Marks the eleventh MCU series releasing on Disney+, and each series has introduced new and exciting characters in live action Which have massively expanded the world of the MCU. However, we haven’t seen some of these characters since they made their first appearance on Disney+, and for some, that means we’ve been shockingly missing them for three years.

Despite many Disney+ MCU projects receiving solid reviews and sound (others not so much – *cough* Secret invasion *cough*), there is a distinct lack of second seasons planned for the MCU’s future. Loki, What If…?, Daredevil: Born Again And X-Men ’97Which is technically set outside the MCU, are the only shows with confirmed second seasons. This makes me worried about the future of some of the most entertaining and exciting new heroes in the MCU, but I have tried to see how they can return without the need for second seasons.

The Defenders Season 2 could join the latest MCU heroes

The Defenders first premiered on Netflix in 2017

reviving The defenders As a true Disney + series in the primary timeline of the MCU would be the perfect way to bring together some of the most interesting new heroes of the franchise. The defenders Initially included only Matt Murdock’s Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Danny Rand’s Iron Fist, with help from Colleen Wing, Misty Knight and others. I think the team’s roster could be much more complete in the MCU proper, as any number of forgotten Disney+ heroes could join the DefendersInstead of the second seasons for their own Disney+ shows.

Daredevil’s connections with Jennifer Walters’ She-Hulk and Maya Lopez’s Echo make them clear candidates to join the Defenders team in the MCU’s future. The likes of Kate Bishop’s Hawkeye, Marc Spector’s Moon Knight, Jack Duquesne (who could be the Swordsman) and G’iah’s Super Skrull all haven’t appeared since their debut, while I’d like the new Defenders team to include Kamala as well. Khan’s Ms. Marvel. reviving The defenders Seems like the ideal way to bring together the MCU’s Disney+ heroesEnsuring they don’t just get lost in the mix of the ever-growing superhero franchise.

A new Defenders crossover series could copy the Phase 1 Avengers movie

2012 The Avengers brought together some special heroes

Danny Rand, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Matt Murdock as The Defenders on Netflix

2012s The Avengers Brought together six distinct heroes on the big screen, and The defenders Season 2 could do the same for the MCU’s smaller-scale Disney+ heroes. Marvel Studios has already introduced the perfect villain, as Wilson Fisk’s Kingpin poses a threat to every street-level hero in the MCU, so I would love to see The Defenders reform with new members to fight Vincent D’Onofrio’s captivating villain. With no second seasons of their own shows in sight, bring back The defenders Seems like the best way to continue the stories of some of the MCU’s most exciting new heroes.

The culmination of Netflix’s Marvel hero series comes as The Defenders, a superhero action mini-series that sees Daredevil, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage all come together to face a common threat, an evil crime syndicate known as The Hand. When the heroes discover events throughout New York City that seem connected, they realize that by working together, they may be enough to keep New York City from falling into ruin. However, ghosts from each of their pasts return to impede their heroic actions.
