To unlock the platinum trophy in Astro BotPlayers will need to unlock the secret that a trip! trophy. The trophy involves defeating seven enemies with the Tripcaster, one of the many weapons available to Aloy, the protagonist of Horizon Zero Dawn And Horizon Forbidden West. To unlock this trophy, players must find Aloy in Astro Bot and unlock the Horizon– themed machine learning level.
Machine learning unlocks once players defeat the boss in the feather cluster, the last and perhaps least impressive of Astro Bot Five clusters. Other levels based on PlayStation IP do appear, and they all have secret trophies; For example, the Game copy escape-Timed Apes on the loose level features a secret golden butterfly that can be caught. However, the tripcaster works quite differently Astro Bot Compared to the Horizon Games.
How to defeat enemies with the tripcaster in Astro Bot
Defeat seven enemies and unlock what a trip! trophy
Once Astro lands in the Machine learning level, continue until you encounter special wires electrified with purple energy. These are the tripwires that Astro can use to defeat enemies. Unlike in the US, Horizon games, Astro cannot place his own tripwires and instead will need to rely on pre-placed wires scattered throughout the level.
Be careful around the tripwires, as they can also electrocute and damage Astro, forcing you to restart from the last checkpoint. The lasers can also cut them on Astro’s feet if he slips over them. As such, take care not to cut them, as this can prevent the trophy from unlocking without a reset.
Players need to trick enemies into running into them to defeat enemies with the tripwires. Unfortunately, this is trickier than it sounds, as the enemies in Astro Bot Will not notice Astro if he is standing on the other side of a tripwire. Instead, players will need to jump over a tripwire, attracting the attention of any nearby enemies, before running back to a tripwire.
If this is correct, the enemies will hit the tripwire and become scrap in one hit. Essentially, players can use their relatively mindless nature to lure them into traps. There are several different locations where players can defeat enemies to get what a trip! trophy. Two appear fairly early in the level, while another can be found in the area where a Talnek is roaming.
The tripwires in the area with the talneck are also close to the Grazer Bot: One of five bots that can be rescued from the machine learning level.
Personally, I found this trophy quite easy compared to others; Just be careful not to use the bow and arrow or Astro’s lasers to slip and kill the enemies out of habit. Getting Astro Bot Platinum Trophy is a headache because there are many secret trophies with highly specific unlock requirements. However, with this guide, players should be able to tick off what a trip! trophy from their lists.
