I can’t believe the Rings of Power are doing this to Galadriel again

Warning! Spoilers for Rings of Power Season 2, Episode 6 ahead!

Galadriel is an interestingly flawed character in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of PowerBut I can’t believe the series hasn’t allowed her to learn her lesson by now. While there might have been hope that she would gain a little more wisdom when she donned her Ring of Power, Galadriel continued to make stupid mistakes in season 2. This is not how her character was presented in Tolkien’s Second Age, and Galadriel is Clearly a different character by the events of The Lord of the Rings. So, how can Rings of power Bridge the gap (hopefully by the end of this installment)?

While there was heavy criticism about Galadriel’s character in Rings of powerI am not among those who find the changes akin to blasphemy. The Lady of Lothlorien proved herself capable of temptation and flaws The Lord of the RingsAnd her desire to redeem herself before returning to Valinor supports this further. Even her warrior status in Rings of power is not beyond the scope of Galadriel’s canon character since Tolkien briefly described her “Athletic Fits.” however, I never imagined Galadriel would be so gullible.

Galadriel allows herself to be fooled by Adar in The Rings of Power Season 2 (after Sauron in Season 1)

Galadriel became painfully gleeful

Galadriel became the perfect example of the old “Fool me once“Saying. She took in hook, line and sinker through Sauron Rings of power Season 1, and it seemed like it was going to be a significant awakening. Go in Rings of power Season 2, she was embarrassed and eager to make amends. Donning her ring of power, Nenia seemed to seal the deal. I felt that would be when Rings of powerGaladriel’s would become more than these Lord of the Rings Characters we know and love. However, she repeated her same old mistake in season 2.

Galadriel is captured by Adar and the orcs in Rings of power Season 2 for, according to Adar, the purpose of forming an alliance. After sharing a few words over a dinner table, Galadriel basically spilled everything she knew. She tells him that Halbrand is Sauron, that he creates rings of power to control Middle-earth, and that the three elven rings can be used against him. To make matters worse, Galadriel tells Adar where Nenia was, putting Elrond in direct danger. surprise surprise, Adar is lying down, and Galadriel looks like a fool again.

Tolkien’s second-age Galadriel is nowhere near this believable

Galadriel always knew where to put her trust in canon

In Tolkien’s writings about second-age Galadriel, he explains that she was never as taken with Sauron’s beautiful form as other elves. While she did not know that Annatar was Sauron, Realizing that he could not be trusted, she warned Selelbrimbor and the others of her concerns.. of course, Rings of power Made a change, but I’m not mad about it. By allowing Galadriel to be fleshed out, the Prime Video series has placed the character in a great position for development with a more dynamic arc. However, Adr’s deception takes this a bit too far.

The Prime Video series needs a chance to align its new, gullible version of Galadriel with the clever figure of the Tolkien canon, and I can’t help but feel this was a missed opportunity.

Galadriel recognizes Adar’s deception in Rings of power Season 2 would have been a great way to demonstrate her growth from the previous installment. What’s more, the fact that she is not wearing Nenia in the orc camp would show the audience that Galadriel does not Need The ring of power to be wise. The Prime Video series needs a chance to align its new, gullible version of Galadriel with the clever figure of the Tolkien canon, and I can’t help but feel this was a missed opportunity. Of course, it’s not too late for Galadriel to be redeemed Rings of power Season 2.

How the Rings of Power can redeem Galadriel before season 2 ends

Galadriel needs to turn the tables

Galadriel (Morphid Clarke) in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 Episode 4

Galadriel made mistake after mistake Rings of powerAnd ending season 2 with her still looking like a fool might not be the way to go. However, I have some faith that there is a plan here. The fight will be ramped up in the final couple of episodes of the second installment, and that should mean a chance for redemption. Galadriel must decide here and now that she will not be taken in so easily And make a significant move against all your enemies.

To earn redemption for her gullibility, Galadriel must not only resist this but take a significant shot back at Sauron.

The trailer for Rings of power Season 2 teased another confrontation between Galadriel and Sauron, and it’s sure to happen in the next couple of episodes. Of course, the Dark Lord will attempt to use the relationship he has previously established there. To earn redemption for her gullibility, Galadriel must not only resist this but take a significant shot back at Sauron. She must prove once and for all that she has learned and grown. Hopefully, I can then finish Rings of power Season 2 knew that Galadriel’s character wouldn’t mess everything up again in season 3.
