Mafia Wars is a new action/thriller from Saban Films, and Screen Rant Get a first look at an exciting clip. The movie tells the story of a recently paroled criminal who is given no choice but to go undercover in an attempt to take down the leader of Italy’s most notorious mob syndicate. Mafia Wars is written and directed by Scott Windhauser, whose past work as a director includes the 2017 thriller Cops and robbers Starring Michael Jai White and the 2020 West Death in Texas.

In the clip, Terry is undercover staring death in the face as unhinged mob boss Griff decides whether or not to take his life. The character at the heart of Mafia Wars Is Terry, played by Tom Welling. Welling is best known for his starring turn as Clark Kent in Smallville (And his return in the Arrowverse’s Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover), and appeared in over 200 episodes of the show, which ran from 2001 to 2017. Outside of the DC universe, Welling appeared in the action series Professionals And these Supernatural Spinoff series The Winchesters. Mafia Wars Looks to showcase a new side of Welling’s abilities as he goes undercover in his role as Terry.
Playing against Welling in Mafia Wars Is Cam Gigandet as the gangster Griff. No stranger to portraying a villain, Gigandet was cast as Jacob in Twilight (The 2008 film, not the Twilight TV show reboot) where he served as a memorable antagonist and threat to Bella. Gigandet also had recurring roles in the television series Not considered And Ice and appeared in the 2022 David Harbour-led Christmas action-comedy Violent night.
The dynamic between Welling’s Terry and Gigandet’s Griff is key to Mafia WarsBut a number of other actors round out the cast and flesh out the movie’s world. Also in the film are Cher Cosenza (Death in Texas, The Wild Wedding), Chris Mullinax (The classic Christmas, blood for dust), and Luca Malacrino (Coronation Street, Hogwarts legacy).
