Black Myth: Wukong has received its second notable patch since launch, and the new update makes several fixes that should smooth over common common points in the journey of the Destined One. in many ways, Black Myth: Wukong was an impressively polished game upon its release, with many well-honed action experiences and a general lack of game-breaking bugs compared to many major releases. It certainly wasn’t without its flaws, however, and continued work on the game could help it realize the full extent of its potential.
The first patch for Black Myth: WukongReleased ten days after the game’s launch, mostly focused on fixing pressing issues like crashes, text errors, and bugs directly related to the Destined One’s game. It also sets a minor precedent for difficulty adjustments, tweaking the stats of Captain Wise-Voice, a boss that can feel overlong and frustrating at launch rather than providing a thrilling challenge. It’s not likely that patches will make dramatic overhauls to the game for the time being, but a strong lineup of minor changes can still significantly improve the experience.
The new update of Black Myth Wukong aids the inevitable one
One of the toughest trials is now easier
The Black Myth: Wukong Patch change that may come as the biggest relief is a “Improved“Battle with the Hundred-Eyed Daoist MasterMentioned in the patch notes available on Steam. As the final boss of Chapter Four, the Hundred-Eyed Daoist Lord may be the hardest challenge in the game up to this point, and surviving his brutal final phase was a nightmare without first obtaining a useful item found in the chapter’s secret area.
The notes for Black Myth: Wukongs new patch do not specify the nature of the improvement, however There seems to be a hitbox adjustment that could solve some of the biggest frustrations with the fight. A video of the post-patch action of Bilibily user Comet 夜瞳 Shows the Destined One’s staff connecting more consistently with the Hundred-Eyed Daoist Lord’s legs, which were previously easy to miss even when the Destined One was in a good position. The action is still solid, as it should be, but the change should make it feel nicer than before.

A more immersive experience lies ahead
Just some of the new ones Black Myth: Wukong Bug fixes work in the destined one’s favor, but they should all effectively increase immersion. Both enemies and the Destined One are less likely to get stuck or thrown out of boss fight bounds nowAnd some bugs that made it impossible to defeat enemies before have been addressed. The same goes for situations that made it possible to keep the ring of fire spell effect or the perk of an immobilize damage buff for longer than intended.
As the first hole, Black Myth: WukongThe second update makes some general fixes to crashes and translationsNotably fixing long-standing issues with the Turkish language version of the game that were previously noted as known problems. An issue that could previously achieve 100% completion was also addressed. Another nice change is that upgrading armor sets in repeat playthroughs will now be easier than before, as it is possible to buy fine gold thread from the Yin Tiger in a new cycle (New Game Plus) playthrough.

Black Myth: WukongThe game’s new changes aren’t likely to radically change anyone’s experience with the game, but they could definitely eliminate some hassle, especially when it comes to the Hundred-Eyed Daoist Lord fight. It’s nice to see a good game getting better, and the lessons that GameScience is learning in the post-launch period could pave the way for the studio’s future titles to raise the bar again.
