I hope Ghosts Season 4’s new non-ghost character helps Sam’s character problem before it gets worse

Ghosts Season 4 will introduce a brand new non-ghost character in Sam’s dad, and I hope his arrival can address the issue with Rose McIver’s character before it gets worse. Despite my usual aversion to anything horror-related, I find myself enjoying the US. it. Version of a British comedy hit. Perhaps it’s because it leans more towards comedy, which I love than its creepy side, but still, the show has an interesting premise – something that’s reflected in its impressive Rotten Tomatoes score. As we wait for Ghosts Season 4, however, I find myself very concerned about Sam’s future.

It is not lost on me that Ghosts is an ensemble series. Even then, the title itself suggests that the main characters in the show are the spirits in the Woodstone Mansion, considering that they are the headliners. That said, I also want to point out that The events of Ghosts began with Sam. She inherited the manor, which resulted in them moving to upstate New York. Her ability to see the spirits also plays a big role in the stories in the show. Among all of these, however, Ghosts has slipped in terms of giving McIver’s character her due.

Dean Norris’ Frank being introduced allows Ghosts Season 4 to explore Sam’s family

Sam reunites with her absent father in Ghosts season 4

As previously confirmed, Dean Norris will be guest star Ghosts Like Frank – Sam’s father. Not much is known about the character so far, but the fact that he is played by the former Breaking Bad actor is enough to get my hopes up for his upcoming appearance. Frank is an absent father, considering the lack of any communication with Sam in the last three seasons of Ghosts. That said, it’s still great to meet him and learn about the kind of relationship he has with his daughter. of which is revealed in a new Ghosts trailer, he even stayed at Woodstone.

This may not be revisited, since Sheryl is already sacked, but I’m hoping that Frank’s story goes deeper in Ghosts season 4.

The last time we saw anyone related to Sam was in Ghosts Season 1, when she and Jay visit her mother at a diner – Sheryl. That said, since she’s already dead, there really wasn’t much to do with her character. Personally, I would have loved for Ghosts To delve deeper into this particular storyline. Although I’m not a fan of its supernatural aspect, I think that the story is grounded in family relationships – something that is more universal. This can’t be repeated, because Cheryl has already been sucked out, but I hope that Frank’s story is deeper in Ghosts Season 4.

Sam’s dealings with family give her a personal arc in Ghosts Season 4

Ghost overlooked Sam for a while

Sam smiles hopefully in ghosts

Regardless of what kind of relationship Sam has with her father, I’m just glad we get to see it explored in Ghosts Season 4. Despite McIver’s importance in the comedy, I feel like she was left out in terms of personal character progress. Granted she has efforts like the book and the podcast, but the majority of her storylines are either tied to her relationship with Jay or the Woodstone Mansion ghosts. Sam hasn’t had a compelling story that’s just about himself in a whileAnd this is a great way to do it.

Answered that it may have to do with this fact McIver was pregnant during Ghosts Season 3But at least season 4 can make up for lost time by bringing in Frank. Seeing Sam deal with her father, especially considering what we know about the relationship she has with her mother, will be a storyline that could be something completely separate from the powers she has to communicate with the spirits. I’m sure Hetty and the rest will still be involved, but the father-daughter arc is more rooted in family ties rather than the supernatural aspect of Ghosts.

How the arrival of Sam’s father fits into the main theme of Ghosts Season 4

Ghosts Season 4 will also introduce more of Jay’s family

In the larger scheme of things, Frank’s introduction also fits with a major theme in Ghosts Season 4. Jay’s parents are confirmed to be introduced sometime in the new year, which will expand what we know about the Arondekars. Their roles have yet to be cast, but their arrival is in time for Sam reuniting with her dad. I would be disappointed if Ghosts Season 4 continues to expand our knowledge of Jay’s clan and not give his wife the same treatment. Who knows, maybe this is it A setup for Sam and Jay’s own family also growing.
