The Boys Season 5 adds first new stars ahead of the final episodes

A new casting announcement has arrived for The boys Season 5 before the release of the final episodes. Created by Eric Kripke, Prime Video’s hit superhero parody series returned for season 4 this past June, with the conflict between Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and Homelander (Anthony Starr) reaching new heights. The boys Season 5 is now confirmed to bring the popular show to an end, with the final episodes currently in development with no release date yet.

EW Now reports that actor Daveed Diggs joined the cast of The boys Season 5. No details about Diggs’ character have been revealed yet, however He will serve as a series regular. Diggs joins returning series regulars like Urban, Starr, Jack Quaid and Erin Moriarty, among others. The official X account for The boys would also confirm the casting, welcoming Diggs to the show:

Diggs will be best known to many viewers for his role on Broadway HamiltonWith his dual roles of Thomas Jefferson and Marquis de Lafayette winning him a Tony in 2016. More recently, he was playing lead character Andre Layton in the Snowpiercer TV show, which recently aired its series finale on AMC. Diggs also voiced Sebastian in Disney’s Live-Action The Little Mermaid Remake, in addition to lending his voice to show how Star Trek Prodigy (2021-2024), Invincible (2021–), and Solar opposites (2020–).
