While Futurama‘s live-action adaptation may never happen, that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of stars perfectly suited to bring the show’s colorful cast to life on screen. Adapting popular cartoons into live-action shows is difficult. Moments that feel hilarious or visually striking in animated formats can look silly, cheap or downright weird in live-action. Meanwhile, scenes that are relatively easy to animate can be nearly impossible to stage in live-action. As a result, most prime-time animated sitcoms never spawned live-action remakes. It’s a shame because some have ideal live action casts available to them.
While a live-action adaptation of The Simpsons would never work for many reasons, applying the same treatment to co-creator Matt Groening’s later sci-fi series Futurama Could be more fruitful. Not similar The Simpsons, Futurama Takes place in a sci-fi setting that would make its strange visual palette feel less invisible. Futurama Has also spawned many spinoff movies where The Simpsons Only one theatrical spinoff, meaning the show is more accustomed to broadening its horizons than its long-running predecessor. perhaps most importantly, Futurama Also has a perfect potential live-action figure.

Sam Rockwell
While many memorable characters on Futurama Having delivered big laughs over the years, Zapp Brannigan is certainly one of the fan favorites and would be essential to have as part of a live-action version. Farnsworth
Christopher Lloyd

2
Fry
Rupert Grint

Frew wasn’t much of an ambitious young man when he was back in his own timeline, and 1000 years later, he’s still a lazy slob who’s somehow lovable. Frey is hilarious in how oblivious he is when he meets with each new situation, but he also makes for some of the series’ most poignant moments thanks to his big heart.
