FX may have another historical drama on its hands, as a new series debuts with a Rotten Tomatoes-perfect soundtrack. It was a big year for the cable network, which bested competitors at the Primetime Emmys and won the Best Drama and Best Comedy categories with the double whammy of Shogun and The Bear.

Although there is some disagreement about whether The Bear is actually a comedy, there is no denying the success of Shogun. The historical drama has a strong argument for being one of the best shows of the year, delighting audiences and critics alike. A new offering from FX, streaming on Hulu, aims to do the same.
