The Avengers’ new matching costumes officially give them extra powers

Warning: Contains spoilers for Avengers Assemble #1! The Avengers are known as Earth’s Mightiest Heroes for a reason, with each individual member contributing superpowers that make feats like saving the world (and sometimes the entire universe) possible. However, just because the Avengers are strong does not mean that there is no room for improvement, and one new recruit agrees, because he just gave the Avengers matching costumes that really give them extra powers.

in Avengers Assemble #1 by Steve Orlando and Corey Smith, readers are introduced to a whole new Avengers lineup. The team is technically a secondary team to the official Avengers (which is led by Captain Marvel in the main Avengers comic title). However, the Avengers Assemble lineup is still part of the entire superhero initiative, similar to the Young Avengers or West Coast Avengers, which makes them just as much “Avengers” as Captain Marvel’s crew. And now, the specific Avengers may actually surpass the ‘official’ team.

After each new recruit arrives at the Avengers mansion, the last to arrive has a gift for the rest of them, and that avenger is Night Thrasher. While he has a reputation as just the skateboarding hero of the ’90s, Night Thrasher is actually a certified genius. He understands complex theories like time loops and interdimensional incursions, and Night Thrasher’s technological brilliance rivals Tony Stark himself. And now, on day one of being an Avenger, Night Thrasher is able to prove it by offering upgrades to his teammates.

Night Tracer just upgraded every member of the Avengers in soon-to-be-revealed ways

The Avengers are fighting an army of monkey mutants.

Night Thrasher describes the new uniforms as “Woven Tech“so”Do a hell of a lot more than keep you warm“. However, after the tech-genius shows the other Avengers the means of their new upgrades, Avengers Assemble #1 ends, leaving readers completely in the dark about what the new suits actually do. Aside from the image featured on the cover of the next issue (as shown above), fans don’t even know what the Avengers even look like in them. However, even without an official statement, there is still plenty of room for speculation.

It seems likely that the suits will bond with the wearer and enhance their pre-existing superpowers. The description “Woven Tech” gives the impression that the tech is not just woven into the fabric of the suits, but that it will be something akin to nanotech that will ‘weave’ into the Avengers themselves, enhancing their pre-existing superpowers. If this is true, Each Avenger will receive a massive upgrade. She-Hulk will become even stronger, Hawkeye will become more of a sharpshooter, and Captain America will be an even bigger super-soldier.

The Avengers’ new suits make them a better team for an entirely different reason

Matching uniforms will help the Avengers be a more effective superhero team

Not only the suits will give The Avengers a major upgradeBut matching uniforms also serve a significant purpose. As Night Tracer explains, “People need to know who we are and what we do when they see us. This will save lives. This is not just optics – it will help us do our job“. This is one of the few times in Marvel history that the Avengers have matching costumes, and it may soon be proven that the lack of a uniformed team was the one thing that kept the Avengers from being as great as they could be. .
