The boy in white told Christopher that the answer to leaving town goes back to the children

The children’s origins will help reveal how to end the city’s imprisoning powers

The mysterious Boy in White in From

It seems to be the case that OfThe Boy in White is one of the few benevolent forces in the town, as he tends to only appear when he is helping one of the trapped residents. Therefore, it appears that the Boy in White’s message to Christopher is given with the intention of helping him find a way out of the city. By saying that “the answers to the end are in the beginning,” the The Boy in White was trying to tell Christopher that children are the key to getting out of this town and understanding what it really is.

To get to “end”, it is essential to understand children’s stories; what happened to them, what they created and why. The Boy in White reveals that the, the children, were “born in the dark and murdered in the dark”, then his birth and death seem to be the source of the city’s powers and construction. At one point, the children were laid down on the stone slabs of the tunnels and told a story, giving them hope of being freed. This hope created the roots of the distant tree, which formed over the tunnel to create the symbol that Jade and Christopher see.

The children who create the symbol and the distant tree suggest that they may also be responsible for creating OfThey are nocturnal creatures.

In Victor’s flashback, the Boy in White also tells Christopher how to save the children. This involves traveling through the distant tree, but Christopher refuses to go through and becomes angry with the boy. It is implied that the Boy in White is trying to get Christopher to travel through the distant tree to the lighthouse, where the children are apparently being held. Miranda and Tabitha later use the same strategy to try to save the children, suggesting that a cycle is repeated in which children’s hopes for salvation summon specific characters over time.

Did the children arrest people in the city after they were betrayed and killed?

The children may have called the travelers to try to save them

The Boy in White practically confirmed that children’s stories play a role in OfThe set of characters are trapped in the city. The children apparently died before people started driving into the city and became trapped, but their spirits may have lingered in the lighthouse or in the tunnels, requiring someone to come and help save them. The scenes with the stone slabs suggest that the children were killed in some kind of human sacrifice, which perhaps cursed them to be trapped in the city forever and abandoned by those who killed them.

It is unclear what the story was told to the children, but it is possible that it was about someone traveling on a road and being stopped by a fallen tree. Therefore, the children may be using their powers of hope to transport travelers who meet this description to the city, in the hopes that they will be the ones to finally free them. It has already been revealed that Miranda and Tabitha were brought to Ofto save the children, but all the other trapped people probably also play a role in finally freeing them from the tower.

The Boy in White’s Message Likely Connects to From’s New Time Travel Reveal

Characters may have to travel through time until the children’s deaths

Martin (Robert Verlaque) looking at Boyd in season 2

The Boy in White’s cryptic message about finding the answers to the end in the beginning is also apparently tied to the time travel elements of the location. When Julie returns to the dungeons in Of Season 3, Episode 8, she discovers that time takes a turn there, confirming that events in the world they live in are not linear. When Julie enters the dungeon, she sees Martin and Boyd meeting in Ofin the Season 2 premiere, their trap in the Season 2 finale, and Tabitha and Victor wandering through the tunnels in the Season 1 finale.

If they can save the children by traveling back in time, From’s characters could find the “end of the tunnel” and the way back home.

Strangely, some of these events were influenced by the Boy in White. The Boy in White sent Boyd to OfThe distant tree that transported him to the dungeon pit and simultaneously sent Victor into the tunnels to find Tabitha in the Season 1 finale. The Boy in White is apparently trying to guide the residents to discover the non-linear passage of time in the town, which could eventually lead them back to the children’s deaths. If they can save the children by traveling back in timethen Ofcharacters can find the “end of the tunnel”And the way back home.
