Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 Made Wi Ha-joon Dirty, But This Upcoming Netflix K-Drama Will Make Up For It

Wi Ha-joon Gyeongseong Creature The character didn’t properly return in Season 2, but luckily, the actor will soon shine in the second season of another Netflix K-drama. While Wi Ha-joon’s popularity reached new heights after his role in 2021 squid gamehe has been delivering great performances for several years. Wi Ha-joon’s K-drama career includes roles in shows such as 18 again, Something in the rainand, Romance is a bonus book. He has also appeared in films such as Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum and Midnightboth in the horror genre.

One of Wi Ha-joon’s most important roles in recent years was also in a horror story – Gyeongseong Creature. The Netflix original series debuts in 2023 with a story about generational trauma and the horrors faced during Japan’s occupation of Korea, set in the final months of World War II. While Gyeongseong Creature It incorporated real-life elements such as the story of Unit 731, it was also a science fiction show that included a zombie-like parasite and monsters. Gyeongseong CreatureThe cast was led by Park Seo-joon and Han So-hee, who returned for the second chapter of the story. Wi Ha-joon, however, did not do so.

Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 Ignored Wi Ha-joon’s Jun-taek

Jun-taek was almost not included in the flashbacks

Wi Ha-joon played Jun-taek, Tae-sang’s best friend, in Gyeongseong Creature season 1. Jun-taek was the son of one of the richest men in Gyeongseong and used his wealth to help the Korean independence movement. Jun-taek was one of the most important members of the revolution in Gyeongseong and often tried to bring Park Seo-joon’s character to his cause. Although Tae-sang shared the same dream of independence as Jun-taek, the former never agreed to join the revolution because he was very selfish and only cared about surviving. However, at the end of season 1, Tae-sang realized that he needed to fight.

Gyeongseong Creature The season 1 finale ended on a somewhat tragic note for Jun-taek when he was tortured into revealing the location of his friends. Between that and Tae-sang finally learning that there were more important things to fight for, I was excited to learn more about Jun-taek and what happened to him after 1945 in Gyeongseong Creature 2. Unfortunately, Wi Ha-joon’s character was not part of the second season. Gyeongseong Creature season 2 took place 79 years after season 1, but other characters returned appropriately thanks to sci-fi shenanigans and flashbacks.

Jun-ho’s return from Squid Game makes up for the absence of Wi Ha-joon’s Gyeongseong creature

Although I haven’t seen at least a little more of Wi Ha-joon’s Jun-take Gyeongseong Creature 2 was disappointing, the 33-year-old actor is expected to have a big role in the next squid game season 2. Wi Ha-joon plays detective Hwang Jun-ho, who, while searching for his brother, discovers the existence of the games and goes undercover to find out what is going on. Detective Jung-ho told the most interesting side story in squid game season 1starting with his investigation that wasn’t being taken seriously by anyone else and ending with the revelation that his brother was Front Man.

The fate of the detective in squid game was left open as he was shot and fell off a cliff. More recently, the first complete squid game Season 2 trailer confirmed that Wi Ha-joon’s character is alive and returns in season 2. The trailer shows Detective Hwang Jun-ho continuing his investigation and even bringing in reinforcements, suggesting that he and his team will infiltrate the games location once again. It’s unclear how Jun-ho survived, as well as what he’s been up to since the end of the first season.

Detective Hwang Jun-ho should be one of the most important characters in the second season of Squid Game

The detective was close to exposing the games from season 1

While squid game season 1 was about Gi-hun, Jun-ho and the audience learning about the horrors of the games, season 2 should be about these two characters trying to take down the operation, even if separately. Gi-hun and Jun-ho don’t know each other as far as we know, but the fact is that they both experienced the games in some way and lived to tell the tale. Jun-ho has enough information to expose the games and take down those who are behind them, but he knows it won’t be easy to do so.

With Player 456 trying to stop the games from the inside, the detective could try to expose them from the outside.

Likewise, Gi-hun is somehow playing again after telling Front Man that he was coming for him. With Player 456 trying to destroy the games from the inside, the detective could try to stop them from the outside. There’s also the matter of family – Jun-ho has just discovered that his brother is the host of the games and is willing to kill the detective to protect the operation. This is why Wi Ha-joon’s character should be so important in squid game 2nd season and make up for your Gyeongseong Creature.
