Known as Terastal Festival in Japan, Prismatic Evolutions will be released in January. Eevee ex
A former card with a lot of potential
Eevee is described as a Pokémon with great potentialand your ex letter is a true reflection of that. Although it only has a single attack called Quartz Shine, it can deal a significant 200 points of damage to opponents, taking away a good portion of their health points in one hit. However, Eevee ex was not designed to be primarily an attacker in this set.
Eevee ex’s ability is what really makes this card special. Previously, it was impossible for ex-cards to evolve as they are supposed to be the strongest cards in a person’s deck. However, the Rainbow DNA ability allows Eevee ex to evolve into any of the other Eeveelution ex cards in this set, allowing you to harness the power of these other incredible cards.

Flareon ex
Preparing and releasing blazing fire
The Fire-type Eeveelution Flareon serves as a strong attacker and a good way for players to set up attacks for future turns. Its first attack, Burning Charge, not only deals a decent 130 damage, but also allows the player to search for two basic energy and attach them to a Pokémon of their choice. This means players can quickly set up Flareon’s second attack or prepare an attack from one of your Benched Pokémon in advance.
His second attack, Carnelian, is immensely powerful, being capable of dealing an astonishing 280 damage to an opponent. So much damage is capable of knocking out many other powerful former cardsas well as severely damaging anyone who has a much higher amount of health. Despite this offensive power, however, it has the disadvantage that Flareon cannot attack during the next turn.
7
Ex-Vaporeon
A complete Water-type attacker
The Water-type Eeveelution Vaporeon is a very useful attacker to have in a deck, both against single and multiple opponents. When dealing with an opponent’s active Pokémon, its second attack, Aquamarine, can deal an immense total of 280 damage, nearly knocking out most other former Pokémon. The only downside is that, just like Flareon’s ex’s Carnelian attack, Vaporeon cannot attack during its next turn after using it.
Vaporeon ex is also a very useful card if the opponent has a lot of ex cards in play. Its first attack, Heavy Squall, allows the player Deals 60 damage to each of the opponent’s former Pokémon. Although the amount of damage is significantly lower than Aquamarine, it can be very useful if several former Pokémon are already low on health, providing an opportunity to KO multiple opponents in one turn to gain more prize cards.
6
Former Jolteon
A shocking amount of power
The Electric-type Eeveelution Jolteon is another powerful asset that would be a good addition to any player’s deck, especially for those looking to defeat unique opponents in one hit. His first attack, Flash Spear, initially deals a decent 60 points of damage. However, players will have the option to discard up to two energy of your Benched Pokémon, which can allow Flash Spear to deal an additional 90 damage for each discard, thus dealing a massive blow to opponents.
Furthermore, like Flareon and Vaporeon, Jolteon also has a very powerful second attack. Dravite is capable of dealing 280 damage in a single hit, although prevents Jolteon from attacking during its next turn.
5
Sylveon ex
Ingenious strategies to challenge opponents
Sylveon ex is capable of dealing decent damage to opponents, but its strength lies mainly in how it can trip up any opponent who isn’t prepared to deal with it. Its first attack, Magical Charm, not only deals a good 160 points of damage, but also causes the opposing Pokémon’s attacks to do 100 less damage during your next turn. This means there is a chance for players to cause their opponent to be unable to deal any damage, or simply very little, allowing Sylveon to continually deal devastating damage in return.
On the other hand, its second attack Angelite allows players to choose two Pokémon on their opponent’s Bench and force them to shuffle them and all attached cards back into their deck. This means that if an opponent is benching their formerly powerful cards, players can make them lose their powerful cards and force them to look for them again later. This can be devastating for any opponent who is not properly prepared with certain tools, items, or support cards that can help him get his cards back together, thus giving the former Sylveon player a clear advantage.
4
Leafeon’s ex
A strong attacker and a useful healer
Eevee’s Grass-type evolution, Leafeon, is very useful in the TCG as a damage dealer, especially when facing opponents who use a lot of Energy cards. Its first attack, Leaf Typhoon, deals 60 damage multiplied by the amount of energy attached to all of the opponent’s Pokémon. This gives players the opportunity to deal an incredible amount of damage for just two energy points.
Furthermore, Leafeon is also very useful as a healer thanks to his second attack, Moss Agate. In addition to dealing 230 damage to the opponent’s active Pokémon, it also heals each Pokémon on the player’s bench for 100 damage. This means that Leafeon can help ensure that many other powerful cards are able to survive longer in the game, giving players a potential chance to return.
3
Glaceon ex
Overloading the opponent with cold temperatures
Glaceon ex may seem somewhat underwhelming at first glance in terms of how much damage it can do to opponents, but upon closer inspection, it can actually be very useful for players looking for strategy-focused cards. Its first attack, Frost Bullet, deals 110 damage to the opponent’s Active Pokémon and only 30 damage to any Benched Pokémon of the player’s choice. Although the damage done to Benched Pokémon is miniscule, can be incredibly useful if used correctly with Glaceon’s second attack.
Euclase is a very powerful move with some very specific requirements, such as allows players to immediately KO any of their opponent’s Pokémon which suffered exactly 60 points of damage. This means that just two uses of Frost Bullet are enough to turn any of the opponent’s Pokémon into a target. As long as players can use both of Glaceon ex’s moves correctly, they will be able to take down many powerful cards with relative ease.
2
Umbreon ex
High costs for high attack power
Eevee’s former Dark-type Eeveelution Umbreon is a decently strong attacker with moves that are highly risky but adequately rewarding, and will be potentially valuable in secondary markets thanks to its similarities to the iconic Moonbreon card. For three energies, its first attack, Moon Mirage, deals a decent 160 damage while also leaving the opponent’s Active Pokémon confused. This means that the opposing Active Pokémon has a chance to get hurt and skip its turn, thus preventing Umbreon from potentially being damaged multiple times in a row.
Umbreon’s ex’s second attack is where he really stands out from many of the other cards in the game. Prismatic Evolutions. Onyx allows the player discard all of your Umbreon energy to automatically receive a prize card. Even though this leaves Umbreon with no more energy to attack during the next turn and does no damage to the opponent, it still brings players one step closer to a potential victory.
1
Espeon ex
Unleashing psychic power to wear down opponents
Of all the former Eeveelution cards in Prismatic EvolutionsThe Psychic-type Espeon is a fantastic addition to players’ decks due to its powerful attacks and multiple ways of tripping opponents. His first attack, Psych Out, deals 160 damage and allows the player to randomly discard a card from the opponent’s handproviding the chance to remove some of the opponent’s most powerful ex cards, supporters, or tools. Espeon’s second attack, Amethyst, is where it really shines, as it allows players to discard all of their opponent’s highest stage evolution cards from the bench.
Using Vaporeon ex’s Heavy Squall attack followed by Espeon ex’s Amethyst provides an opportunity to KO multiple benched Pokémon at once.
Ultimately, of all the cards available in Prismatic EvolutionsEspeon ex is truly the best. With its numerous attacks that provide a lot of power and opportunity for effective strategies, it is sure to catch the attention of numerous Pokémon Trading Card Game competitive players.
