Those looking to earn some extra Haksilver to make gear or upgrades God of War: Ragnarök Should consider searching for all the family crests in Vanaheim. Unlike Frozen Flames or Chaos Flames, the Cresses have no value to Kratos or his equipment. On the other hand, families across multiple realms view such artifacts as highly valuable treasures.
The NPC characters Brok and Sindri are more than willing to pay Kratos handsomely for finding the rarity hidden throughout the realm. Accordingly, collecting all the family crests is an excellent way to make some quick coins. Those who earn enough quicksilver from family crests will have enough money to buy some of the strongest weapons and armor in God of War: Ragnarök.
Where to find each family crest
Explore the realm of Vanheim
Each family crest can be found in Vanaheim in God of War: RagnarökMeaning Kratos doesn’t need to visit other realms to complete their cam set. There are Six family crests in total Scattered across the realm in important places you visit. The family heirlooms can be tracked down in any order, as long as you explore the following areas:
- Naughton’s garden
- River Delta
- Fryer’s camp
- The wild passage
- The veneer shrine
To find a family crest, look on the ground for a small number node glowing with a bright purple hue. Interacting with the nodes will cause Kratos to grab the comb as Freya provides some backstory on its owner.

Skirnir’s Crest |
Fryer’s camp |

The location of the artifact in God of War: Ragnarök is just to the left of the Mystic Gateway in Freyr’s Camp, the area where you can start the “Smell of Survival” Favor side search. |
Hoiner’s crest |
Naughton’s garden |
|
Destroy the evil poles in Noatun’s garden, or the large totems near a body of water in this area. This work, which is part of the “Garden for the Dead” Favor, will reveal the crest in the corner near where you can climb up a stone wall. |
Healy’s crest |
The veneer shrine |
|
Use the Blades of Chaos to burn some vines in the Vanir Shrine to reveal the crest. This comes after you use the Leviathan Ax to lower a drawbridge leading to a path here. The crest is found behind a wooden fence, where a group of enemies tries to ambush you. |
Quasir’s Crest |
The wild passage |
|
Walk up the main path through the veiled passage leading to several ridges overlooking the nearby cascade. Destroy the wooden fences at the end of one ridge to reveal the crest. |
Freya’s crest |
River Delta |
|
Look directly behind the River Delta Mystic Gateway to easily find the crest. |
Odin’s crest |
River Delta |
|
Travel south from Pilgrim’s Landing and head straight to the center of the River Delta area. Here, search for a small grotto and find a small pier where the crest is located. |
While there may not be any upgrades for you to get from Family Crests, the story behind them makes them worth collecting. The additional quicksilver you can earn for trading the Cress away should encourage you even further to track each of their locations in God of War: Ragnarök.
