After the Bioware celebration Mass Effect Day, the developer gave Dragon Age: The Veil Guard players the chance to get armor themed around the beloved Commander Shepard. Fortunately, this special Mass Effect set is quite easy for any player who is already familiar with the game’s story. New players will have a little work to do, but it’s time that would need to be spent to progress the story anyway.

While Veilguard’s lack of evil player choice has left some fans wanting more, dressing up as a medieval-themed version of gaming’s favorite space RPG commander should definitely ease the pain. Given that Mass Effect did the same thing for Dragon Age a while ago, allowing players to retrieve series-themed Blood Dragon Armor ME3It’s only fair that we see things changing in reverse. Complete the Singing Blade

You can only get the Mass Effect armor in Dragon Age: The Veil Guard After completing the campaign mission, The Singing Bladebefore meeting him at chest next to the Workshop at the Lighthouse. The Singing Blade is a very old story quest where you need to retrieve the Lyrium dagger from Solas. If you are just starting out Guard of the Veilbeing able to unlock the Mass Effect the armor shouldn’t take more than two to three hours of gameplay. It’s certainly a lot easier than figuring out the best Mage build in the game.

As The Singing Blade finish and you find yourself back at the Lighthouse, you will begin The enemy of my enemywhere you are free to explore the base. Exit, approach the Workshop bench and go to the chest next to it. Read the note before opening it and you’ll see a charming nod from Harding to Commander Shepard. After opening the chest, the Mass Effect Armor appearances, Specter of Past Battles, Model of Leadership, and Helmet of Command will be added to your inventory.

To equip the Mass Effect armor, you will need use your bedroom wardrobe at the Lighthouse. If you’ve just completed The Singing Blade and don’t know where it is, the quest marker will take you there, as that’s the next step in the campaign. You will then need to unpack your room, place your souvenirs, and have your next conversation with Solas at Dragon Age: The Veil Guard. Then you can finally start using the wardrobe.

All three pieces of Mass Effect Armor is purely cosmetic, transmuting gear you’ve already equipped to change your appearance but maintain your stats. The Commando Helmet is the only helmet in the set, but the Specter of Battles Past and the Paragon of Leadership are the respective I Paragon vs Renegade morality system. Whatever Mass Effect armor you choose to equip Dragon Age: The Veil Guardyou can always go back to the wardrobe and change to the other one if you wish.
