Dragon Age: The Veil Guard has an infinite number of both main and secondary missions for players to complete. Bioware’s newest RPG title is packed with things to do, places to see, and people to meet. As is often the case with large-scale RPG titles, Guard of the VeilSide missions offer the player unique experiences, storylines, and rewards away from the main mission. From side quests that introduce players to the lore of their dragon-slaying comrades to regional quests that are only available during certain parts of the game, there are Dozens of hours of side quest content to experience.
Many smaller RPGs use side quest content as filler, with fetch quests or defend this area until the timer stops quests being copied and pasted throughout the game to give an illusion of depth or replayability. This is not the case Guard of the Veil. From rare items that can only be acquired through side quests to many fascinating and well-written plots outside of the main quest, a large part of the Guard of the Veil the experience comes from the secondary content. As proven by many great fantasy RPGs of the past, side quests are really where the quality and depth of an RPG can be found.

This one is especially capable of tugging at the heartstrings, so it shouldn’t be missed by those who want a rich emotional experience.
With the entire world economy going on Guard of the Veil, It’s refreshing to see a smaller human story that isn’t directly about the player character. This one is especially capable of tugging at the heartstrings, so it shouldn’t be missed by those who want a rich emotional experience.

Regrets of the Dire Wolf
Ghosts of the Past: Regrets over the Dire Wolf’s Haunting Legacy
The Direwolf’s Lament quests are one of the most crucial quests in the game in terms of story and its relevance to the main quest and its characters. Ghilan’nain, Solas, and Elgar’nan are all involved in the story here, with Solas’ past in particular getting a lot of development. The mission involves searching for six wolf figurines scattered across the map – a seemingly simple premise.
However, there is a lot of crucial information about Solas and the others that can be found along the way during this mission.making it a must-play for anyone wanting to learn more about the main quest. The development of Solas’ lore here is actually so relevant to the main quest and the game’s larger plot that it’s easy to imagine that Regrets of the Dread Wolf could have been conceived as a main quest at some point during development. For Solas’ lore alone, Dire Wolf’s Regrets should not be ignored.

In memory
Honoring the Fallen: In Memoriam’s moving tribute
In Memoriam is located in Dock Town, a district of Minrathous. This is one of the game’s darkest side quests, centering on a series of murders plaguing the district. If playing detective while slaying demons alongside a benevolent spirit sounds appealing, any detective-inclined player shouldn’t miss this quest. With a good balance of combat, loot, and an intriguing narrative involving a community dealing with homicide, this mission will not disappoint.
Dock Town in general is a fantastic area on the game map. and creates a real sense of place. Sidequests like this and Desperate in Dock Town immerse the player in a community of real people who face the same terrible demons and violence that the player has to face.

“Hauntings” Missions
Beyond the Veil: Uncovering the mysteries of the “Haunts” missions
The “Hauntings” questline offered by Vorgoth and Myrna is for any fan of gothic or medieval horror stories. These missions are basic in structureessentially being monster hunts. However, each real creature is worth seeing and fighting, with fantastic character design and great combat to be found in every encounter.
The most consistent reward for Hauntings missions is gold, which is nothing to sneeze at, but exclusive items can also be obtained. Finishing the final challenge, Deadly Playtime, rewards the party with a Deathrattle helmet that provides accuracy with low HP.

bloodbath
Unleashed carnage: brutal consequences of the bloodbath
Bloodbath is another mission in the gothic horror vein. This quest is one of Lucanis’ companion quests and involves a lot of combat and rewards, as is the case with most worthwhile side activities in the game. The difference here, however, is the setting, involving a Venatori hideout in Treviso. The hideout’s basement hides a bathhouse with a final chamber completely filled with blood.
Guard of the Veil occasionally delves into true gothic horror, and this quest doesn’t disappoint in that regard. For those who want grotesque and bloody fun that almost resembles dark games like Transmitted by bloodlook no further than Bloodbath.

Desperate in Dock Town
Fraying at the Edges: Desperate in the Harsh Realities of Dock Town
Just like In Memoriam, Desperate in Dock Town immerses the player in the community of the Dock Town district. This shows the human cost of the various tragedies that plague Guard of the Veilworld, including large-scale warfare and demon infestations of the titular Veil. These are high and heavy themes, and Guard of the Veil largely deals with them in broad strokes.
Guard of the Veil really shines when it narrows its focus to a gripping, emotional plot like this.
Desperate in Dock Town, however, masterfully reminds the player of ordinary citizens the existence of the game world: The player may be saving the world, but the people inhabiting the world being saved also need help. This is another extremely well-written quest that offers a break from the more epic scale of the main quest. Guard of the Veil really shines when it narrows its focus to an engaging and emotional plot like this, and the Magister’s End armor is just a nice bonus.

Pinnacle of its kind
Masterpiece of Malice: The pinnacle of sinister genius of its kind
Pinnacle of Its Kind is another “endgame” side quest available in Guard of the Veiland This one is quite important for completionists, as it contains a dragon boss fight. This quest is similar to The Heart of Corruption in that it requires several stages of boss fights to gain access to the final enemy. Just like this series of quests, it is also a great challenge designed for higher level players.
The dragon encountered at the end of this questline, The Formless One, is a High Dragon and is only accessible through this questline. She is completely different from any other dragon in the game, as she a twist when the player arrives in his boss fight reveals his true origin. This is one of the coolest dragon battles that can be found in Guard of the Veiland defeating The Formless One provides rare dragon materials and additional strength to the faction.

Something wicked
Lurking shadows: the sinister threats of something wicked
Something Wicked focuses on the smaller stories of Guard of the Veilavoiding the dragon slaying of the main quest or side quests like Pinnacle of its Kind. This mission involves protecting a small village from Darkspawn – the player has to join forces with the Gray Wardens to eradicate a demonic invasion in Lavendel. This particular quest is reminiscent of some of the The Witcher 3World-building, with a similar focus on the inhabitants of a small village being terrorized by forces they can’t deal with.
This quest doesn’t take long to complete, so rewards like gold, XP, and increased companion bonds are well worth the time, not to mention the faction’s strength and materials. Smaller-scale missions like these reveal some of the Dragon Age: THE Guard of the Veilthe best writing and adds dimension and depth to the game world.
