One of the defining characteristics Undead series is the fact that no character is safe, even if they are fan or child favorites. Throughout all seven Undead shows, even the best and most interesting characters are at risk of death by walker bite, fatal accident, or outright murder. The high kill count has become a trope of the franchise. Although many of the saddest deaths in Undead shows were when characters with a lot to offer were killed off, many obscure characters were also killed off too soon.
Obscure characters are not defined by the length of the show, but by their memorability. Some characters who appear in just one episode have left their mark on the series, such as the pacifist fighter Eastman, while obscure characters are often overlooked or overlooked. The characters who survived the longest in Undead They’re not always the best or most memorable. While Undead The franchise gave audiences some iconic characters, killed off many obscure characters that had the potential to become fan favorites or change the show.

Jacqui – The Walking Dead, Season 1
The architect had the potential to be an asset in later seasons of Walking Dead
Jacqui is exactly the kind of dark character that could have been improved Undead if she had survived longer. The quiet, kind, and introverted Jacqui established herself as an asset in the early days of the apocalypse. As an architect, Jacqui’s knowledge of the city’s buildings had the potential to help the group escape from a department store. Although the plan didn’t work, Jacqui’s experience could have been valuable in later seasons of Undead when groups were creating new settlements. However, Jacqui was killed off in Season 1.
The post-apocalyptic genre often focuses on survivors, but an architect like Jacqui could have become a vital character, especially during Season 6 after the invasion of Alexandria. Jacqui gave up hope early, choosing to die when Jenner’s lab exploded. HHis decision was a shocking and emotional moment in Undead. However, it was also a case of wasted potential, as Jacqui could perhaps have regained hope by playing a key role in rebuilding society.

Axel – The Walking Dead season 3
Axel’s sinister story was written into The Walking Dead
When Rick and his group entered the prison in Undead In season 3, the tension between his group and the inmates was the central plot of several episodes. This storyline revealed that some of the inmates are more dangerous than others. Axel originally appeared to be healthy and kindshowing extra politeness to female characters like Carol, before the Governor kills him. However, Axel had a very disturbing story that Undead should have explored.
Axel was written as a serial killer, with a key role in the death of a fan favorite Undead character. Original by Beth Undead the death would be worse, with Axel gaining the group’s trust before leading her into the forest and killing her. While this could have been a great reminder that Undeadliving people were often as dangerous as walkersthe plot was cut to focus on the Governor.

Milton Mamet – The Walking Dead season 3
The governor’s right-hand man could have become a formidable villain
Milton Mamet was first introduced as a mild-mannered, delusional scientist who believed walkers could be cured, even after Rick’s group discovered the truth long ago. However, he was also the governor’s right-hand man before Andrea showed him the antagonist’s dark side. Characters often change dramatically throughout Undeadand if Milton had gained the power and strength of personality of the Governor, he could have become a very dangerous character.
Milton has a typical “villain“backstoryhaving lost both parents at a young age before developing an interest in science. He even had proximity to a major antagonist. Had he survived, Milton’s scientific research could have evolved into testing in healthy people, with his laboratory becoming an early version of the CRM human testing project. However, Milton switched sides and died too soon, becoming one of the many characters killed by the Governor in Undead season 3.

Morales – The Walking Dead seasons 1 and 8
Morales was brought back after the first season only to die
Undead The first season introduced Morales as a brave and loving husband and father, who left Rick’s group on good terms to search for his family. However, season 8 reveals that things didn’t go well for Morales and he lost his family to the walkers. That Undead twist could have been fascinating and moving for viewers, as it is likely that Rick would have tried to appeal to the man he once knew.
Morales wasn’t bad when he first appeared in Undead but was a loyal member of Negan’s Saviors in Season 8. Still, since Rick left Morales with supplies in Season 1, it would have been appropriate for Morales to help Rick escape with supplies. Alternatively, Morales could have been violently jealous of Rick’s success and mostly intact family. How Daryl killed him before he had a chance to make an impact, viewers will never know.

Ozzy – The Walking Dead Season 9
Ozzy and the Highwaymen Could Have Been the Perfect Match for Ezekiel’s Kingdom
Undead It may have started as a survival story, but its human aspect defined the show. The Highwaymen were first introduced as potentially clichéd bad guys, but they quickly prove to be just as human as the other characters when Carol tempts their leader, Ozzy, with the offer of a movie. The Highwaymen were theatrical, loyal and occasionally funnywhich would have made Ozzy and his group perfect for life in the Kingdom.

Ozzy and Alek from The Highwaymen died during UndeadIt’s true in the infamous episode, The Calm Before, but what little was shown of Ozzy’s character made it clear that he was killed off too soon. Ozzy barely knew the Kingdom’s residents, but he rushed to the stable to help them, putting on a brave face. He and Jerry started out as enemies, with the Highwaymen stealing Jerry’s sword. However, the two men were similar characters, and Ozzy and Jerry could have become iconic Undead friendship just like Rick and Daryl.

José – Fear The Walking Dead season 3
José’s mechanical skills were underutilized in Fear The Walking Dead
Walker introduces José and his friend Marta as “two of the best mechanics of the war in Iraqr.” Military characters are often the antagonists in the post-apocalyptic genre, but José’s story could have been developed in either direction and have prepared José to become a formidable ally or enemy. As a veteran and mechanic, José could have been useful in the apocalypse and while Undead already included military characters like Abraham, Joseph could have had a different vision.
José faints from lack of oxygen along with many other characters and, as he is a very secondary character, his death is forgotten and too soon.
Despite this potential, José received almost no lines on the show. The episode “This Land Is Your Land” has one of the Fear the undeadthe highest death countsAs the characters who were evacuated to the basement die of asphyxiation, turn around and begin killing the remaining characters. José faints from lack of oxygen along with many other characters and, as he is a very secondary character, his death is forgotten and too soon.

Athena Mukherjee – Fear The Walking Dead season 6
Athena’s death was one of the darkest moments in The Walking Dead universe
Grace spent a large part of Fear the undead episode In Dreams, dreaming about her infant daughter, Athena, as she struggles to give birth. The episode shows Athena as a brave and kind character who saved Grace’s life and brought her into her community, introducing Grace to her adoptive father, Morgan. In this episode, Grace accepts the fact that she is dying, but Undead The series’ darkest ending has a twist: It’s baby Athena who dies, not Grace.
Undead the series has never been afraid to kill off its child characters, but Athena’s death seemed like a missed opportunity for Fear the undead. The glimpse viewers get of her character shows that Athena brought her community together and therefore must have had strong relationships with those in existence. Fear the undead characters, including Morgan. How Morgan’s son was killed in the beginning Undead, It would have been interesting to see him become a father to a daughter.

Esther – Dead City Season 1
The Mysterious Woman’s Story Had Potential for a Dead Town Plot
UndeadConnie has already proven that characters can communicate across a language barrier. This is the kind of scenario that would happen in an apocalypse, so when Esther, who spoke Hebrew, was presented in Dead City, there were many ways to develop his character and his mysterious backstory. However, although Esther is revealed to be insightful, kind, and fair, she only lasts two episodes before being killed by a member of the Burazi.
Esther seemed to have a plan for Negan and Maggie while keeping them alive. It is established that Ester frequently brings strangers back into her group, but the reason for this is not explored. Esther seemed friendly, even after initially stealing Negan and Maggie’s supplies. However, although she likely intended to integrate Negan and Maggie into her group, Esther may have had more sinister motives and Dead City I missed the opportunity to explore this killing her too soon.
2
Joel Armstrong – Dead City Season 1
Joel could have linked Dead City to Fear The Walking Dead
Viewers see Joel through the memories of his brother, Perlie. Although Joel survived the apocalypse, he was an addict and had stolen from his family, causing a rift between him and Perlie. The story of Joel and Perlie is one of the most tragic in history. Dead Cityas Perlie missed the opportunity to reconnect with Joel, who relapsed and ended his life to avoid starving to death. Joel died before the events of Dead City but if he had lived, he might have been a link with another Undead series.
Although Dead City and Fear the undead are located on opposite sides of the U.S.Joel and Nick could be connected…
Joel is not the only one Undead character to fight addiction. Fear the undeadNick is a heroin addict who is killed just as he seems to embrace a more peaceful life. Although Dead City and Fear the undead are located on opposite sides of the U.S.Joel and Nick could have connected through online drug support groups or even casual encounters with other characters. If Joel had survived and reconciled with Perlie, it could have represented an alternative happy ending for a troubled character like Nick.
1
Juno-Daryl Dixon Season 1
Juno’s toughness could have made him an unexpected ally to Daryl Dixon
Juno is a rude and obnoxious character throughout most of her only F-bomb-filled episode in the Daryl Dixon undead spin-off series. However, he also proves to be intelligent and resourceful when needed, putting aside his differences with Daryl to trick the guards into opening the prison where the two men are being held. Juno cooperated with Daryl’s plan although I’m surprised it worked. If he had survived, this could have been a turning point for the character.
Juno is killed by a walker as he and Daryl prepare to escape togetherbut his last act is to launch the rowboat into the water for Daryl. Juno may have been unpleasant, but many Undead the characters become more likable as the series progresses. Juno”grumpy old man“His personality and callous way of killing people could have been revealed over time as a survival strategy, with him becoming an ally to Daryl, if not a friend. It would have been a compelling direction to take a minor Undead character.
