What the new plot details could mean for the Neagley spinoff
It is still a familiar formula
Some of the most famous Jack Richer Novels involve the main character hoping to avenge something that happened to someone he cares about, serving as the driving force for the Richer Season 2 story. The spinoff looks to go in the same direction by Leaning on someone from Neagley’s past to serve as the story’s emotional weight.

The setup is even more significant because not much is known about Neagley. The main series reveals that Stan’s character is uncomfortable with physical contact and that she is the only one who can challenge some of Jack Reacher’s detachment tendencies. But outside of that, her lack of established history means the spinoff will have a lot of maneuvering to do.
Our take on the Neagley Spinoff
It’s a good project for Stan
Stan, recognized for her roles in the short-lived swamp thing series and Channel Zero: Dream DoorShowed a lot of versatility in both roles. Neagley was thus, far more limited due to her capacity as a supporting player in the Richer Figure. But the spinoff, which is executive produced by Child, Santora, Wootton, Santora and Wootton, Don Granger and Lisa Kusner with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Matt Thunell for Skydance Television, is in a good position to showcase Neagley’s protagonist potential.
