Gangs make up the majority of enemies in Cyberpunk 2077. Of from bestial animals to happy members of the Maelstrom, These characters populate the map with random encounters and act as henchmen for the game’s true antagonists. Night City’s gangs need to be interesting for the game to work, and they are, but there are many other options for violent groups within the scenario.
After all, Cyberpunk started as a TTRPG and has tons of lore and groups of characters that have yet to appear in video game form. This means there are plenty of options for CD Projekt Red to include in the inevitable RPG sequel taken from the tabletop source material. These ten gangs would make fun and interesting enemies as well as potential allies in any future Cyberpunk happy.

Steel Slaughter Slammers Could Introduce Chromer Gangs
Rock and Roll plays an important role in Cyberpunk
The gangs inside Cyberpunk world are often divided into groups based on their behavior and the goals they focus on. Chromer gangs, like the Steel Slaughter Slammers, are themed around musicfor example. These gangs see their favorite bands as prophets and take the lyrics of their songs as gospel to be followed to the letter.
Steel Slaughter Slammers worship a rock band called Total Anarchy and for that reason they fit into the aesthetic of Cyberpunk 2077 very good. Rock and rebellion are fundamental parts of the game’s identity, and Johnny Silverhand’s character struggles with the meaning of his own actions as a rock star. The Slammers could represent the moral problems with blind idolatry and literal interpretations of guiding textsin a way that feels right at home in dirty Night City.

Sluts love to party
A gang with simple but chaotic designs
Piranhas are heavily featured in Cyberpunk Red and are a perfect example of a party gang. These guys have it all a constant festive lifestyle: drinking, dancing, and casually committing violent crimes. They care little about long-term plans, wealth or power, living entirely in the moment. Seeking moments of well-being is one of their guiding principles as a gang in the world of Cyberpunk.
This gang, like Maelstrom, personifies the chaos within Night City’s criminal underbelly in Cyberpunk 2077. Their antics are certainly more light-hearted than those of the implant-obsessed killers, but they are equally unpredictable and prone to recklessness due to his constant search for happiness, by any means necessary. TTRPG fans would no doubt like to see them return, even if they have declined in strength following the franchise’s fourth corporate war.

The Julliard can be an ally for those inclined towards art
Defenders of the Arts
The Julliards are a defensive gang, focusing their efforts on mitigating violence rather than causing it. As their name suggests, they are an artistic group, focused mainly on street artists. Night City is a dangerous place, especially for those who don’t carry weapons in public, and This gang was formed to defend those who cannot defend themselves.
With the mantra “kill a mime, go to jail”, the Julliard consists of and protects low-level artists who often don’t have much of a voice. They use weapons like heavy instruments and are notoriously loyal, willing to attack even important people when their gang is threatened. Despite their good intentions, the Julliards were often involved with other, more violent gangs in the city.

Elvises are the kings of posers
A fascinating and fun component of the Cyberpunk world
Another gang archetype that has had little or no representation within Cyberpunk 2077 is made up of gangs of posers, who cybernetically modify themselves to look like a person or center around a theme. The Elvises are among the most iconic of these groups, even though they reside in Nashville instead of Night City. Quite bluntly, the entire group changed themselves to physically resemble Elvis Presley.
Their leader, called “the king“is considered a prophet of the musician himself, although he is identical to each of his followers, which makes it difficult to identify his identity. The idea of a gang made up of identical characters, all trying to look like the same person It could be cool to explore elsewhere. Cyberpunk game, and it would certainly make things easier for character designers.

Willows remind us of Mox
A gang to protect the oppressed
The Mox is a mostly friendly gang in Cyberpunk 2077made up of sex workers, queer people, and other social outcasts who come together to protect themselves and each other from the harsh landscape that is Night City. They have a lot in common with another support gang in Cyberpunk tradition – the willows. This group consists of female veterans and assassins that protect women, usually through the use of violence.
They emerged from the remains of the Willow Sisterhood, a gang of hitmen that was destroyed after a corporate war. The remaining members formed this new group to pick up where they left off, although they no longer work with companies as much. Given Mox’s priorities in Cyberpunk 2077, It might make sense for the two gangs to team up if threatened by another gang, such as the Tyger Claws.

The Philharmonic’s vampires are dangerous pranksters
This gang deserves admission for its name alone
The Philharmonic Vampyres, explored in the video above from DarthMatusHolocronThey’re a super cool gang, and not just because of their wild name. These Joker wannabes form what is known as “gang of pranksters,” specialized in playing tricks on other people and causing havoc. While these pranks can occasionally be light-hearted, they can often turn into torture and cruelty towards their victims. The intention is not necessarily to cause damage, but rather to have fun, even at the expense of others.
The Philharmonic has often targeted Julliard in the past and is not above lashing out with its pranks. As fun as it is to have a group of jokers terrorizing Night City, they could easily become frightening antagonists, without sympathy for others or care for the fear they cause. A group that seemingly has nothing to lose and everything to gain from pranks can become an instant threat in the world of pranks. Cyberpunk.

The Yellow Brick Road Gang Is Ridiculous Enough to Fit In
Lions, tigers and bears, oh my
This posing gang is defined by their love of the classic film The Wizard of Oz. They love it so much that each of its members underwent extensive surgery to look like the characters from Ozmainly the Tin Man and the Scarecrow. This gang is definitely around as far as Cyberpunk will, but they might be ridiculous enough to appear in a mission or two in a gameplay sequence.
The gang is led by a woman named Dorothy, and sells a hallucinatory drug they call Emerald City. It could be interesting to see a plot in which the Yellow Brick Road gang faces another group for control of drug trafficking, with them taking advantage of their hallucinatory substance to create a colorful nightmare in the heads of their enemies.
3
Wild things can be a formidable antagonistic force
One of the oldest gangs in the city
The Wild Things are one of the more serious gangs in the game, especially compared to the Yellow Brick Road gang. They are one”dorpher“crew that distributes and manufactures drugs, comprised entirely of talented veterans and experienced fighters. Each of its members has worked extensively with at least one other crew before and is so renowned that any one of them can recognize all the others.
The gang rewarded its members well and committed some serious crimes, provoking the wrath of the Cyberpunk corporations in their heads. Officially, the Wild Things collapsed after the fourth corporate war, with Militech crushing them under its steel boot. But even after that, they continued to exist in one form or another, participating in gladiatorial blood sports and taking on businesses. The return of the Wild Things could be very bad for Night City.

The Dragula Racers could highlight the game’s driving competitions
Road racing just got scarier
The Dragula Racers have fun stories that match their name. Each member of this gang they transform to look like Halloween monsters, like Dracula or the Wolfman. Then they race through the city streets, using hearses modified for maximum terror. Translated into a possible sequel, these gang members could even reference all sorts of horror icons in Cyberpunkfrom classics to modern films of the genre.
This class looks like fun and could be a large group of NPCs to center a racing story. Cyberpunk 2077 It included a lot of vehicular combat and street racing, and a sequel could explore that with this group of Halloween horror heads. This could come in the form of racing-themed side quests that offer players the chance to unlock cosmetics that allow them to look like their favorite Halloween characters.

The Inquisitors would juxtapose perfectly with the Maelstrom
A group that violently opposes cyberware
Finally, the next Cyberpunk the game should definitely include at least one cult gang, and the Inquisitors would be the perfect choice. These gang members hate Chrome with a passion, believing that cyberware and body modification are blasphemy. They are natural enemies of groups like Maelstromwith whom they have a long-standing rivalry due to their opposing world views.
The Inquisitors’ MO involves ripping cyberware from living people and hunting down those who show off their body mods. Although many people hate them, they tend to blend into crowds and avoid the ostentation of other gangs. They have no colors or tags, no theme to organize other than hate. Given all this, they could constitute a great antagonistic force in the wake of Cyberpunk 2077and perhaps even make the player sympathize with Maelstrom, who is notoriously antagonistic in nature.
