Star Wars: The Bad Batch

Clone Force 99, the titular characters of Star Wars: The Bad Batchare one of the most influential groups in the galaxy during the Clone Wars and the early days of the Galactic Empire. The Bad Batch are known for their unique mutations that enhance desirable qualities in soldiers, though this squad of elite clones grows beyond just Hunter, Tech, Wrecker, and Crosshair. Their story is intertwined with some of the most important events in the galaxy, from Order 66 to the beginning of the Necromancer Project. This made his story extremely vital to the Star Wars myth.

This timeline of his history follows the dating system commonly used in Star Warsthat uses the events of A New Hope as a central point. The destruction of the first Death Star in the Battle of Yavin is the galaxy’s primordial event, and everything else is dated by the number of years before that event (BBY) and after (ABY). With its story beginning about 30 years before this battle and ending shortly before it took place, here is the complete Clone Force 99 Star Wars timeline.

Clone Force 99 as a collective is too young to remember this, although Omega, who is a pure clone of Jango Fett without accelerated aging, is old enough to remember this. The members of the Bad Batch spend their years training on Kamino before officially becoming the elite squad Clone Force 99.

The Bad Batch is sent there to look after Dr. Krail and his modified battle droids, unaware of the fact that this Separatist scientist specifically expected them to appear. It doesn’t take much for Clone Force 99 to defeat his androids and capture the scientist, stopping him from creating more of these surprisingly dangerous androids.

There, they find Echo alive in stasis and successfully rescue him.

Clone Force 99 continues to join Rex and Skywalker in the campaign’s key battle of Anaxes, where Echo uses her new cybernetics to aid the Republic by using the Separatists’ “algorithm” against them. Hunter, however, hopes to earn enough to buy Omega’s freedom and allow her to have a childhood. This effort, however, puts them back on Rampart’s radar.

Crosshair reunites with Commander Cody

Meanwhile, Crosshair is still with the Empire, even after barely surviving alone on Kamino for a month. Unfortunately, Emperor Palpatine manages to trick the clones, who carried out Rampart’s orders without question.allowing the project to be approved. This experience inspires Echo to leave Bad Batch to help Rex’s clone rebellion.

The Bad Batch leaves Cid’s and seeks refuge in Pabu

After Cid fails to help Hunter, Tech, Wrecker, and Omega with a job gone wrong, Clone Force 99 finally decides to abandon her and Ord Mantell completely with the help of their pirate friend Phee Genoa. She takes them to the island of Pabu, a place that houses refugees seeking asylum. The group finds peace there as Hunter imagines a future for his team and a childhood for Omega. Omega’s training, however, still continues on this peaceful island, especially with Tech giving flying lessons.

Crosshair kills an Imperial officer on Barton IV and is arrested

In the midst of this, Crosshair’s loyalty to the Empire changes quickly. A mission to the harsh outpost of Barton IV with Imperial Lieutenant Nolan, who makes his distaste for clones very obvious, opens Crosshair’s eyes fully to his mistreatment. After trying to save his new comrade Mayday, only for him to die due to the lieutenant’s refusal to offer him medical assistance, Crosshair kills Nolan. This leads him to an Imperial prison on Mount Tantiss, where the cruel Doctor Royce Hemlock interrogates and tortures him for information on the whereabouts of Clone Force 99.

Tech dies during failed Clone Force 99 rescue mission

After Crosshair briefly escapes his cell to send the Bad Batch a warning to stay hidden, the squad – with Echo’s help – finally decides to attempt a rescue mission. They travel to Eriadu, where Hemlock attends an Imperial conference, with plans to track his ship back to Tantiss. Unfortunately, they stumble upon Saw Gerrera’s mission to kill these Imperial officers, and are caught in the crossfire of the chaos when their quick escape across the railroad tracks is lost. In his efforts to save his team, Tech is forced to sacrifice his life. when falling off the wagon.

Cid betrays the bad lot and Omega is captured

With no Imperial ships to track and serious injuries to treat, Clone Force 99 is forced to stop at Cid’s on Ord Mantell to recover. Hunter, Wrecker, Echo and Omega, still devastated by the loss of Tech, are completely unprepared for Cid to betray them to the Empire. Hemlock arrives with his own forces, intending to take Omega to make Nala Se fulfill her experiments. Initially arresting Hunter and Wrecker, Omega attempts to save them but is taken into custody. Hunter and Wrecker escape with Echo’s help, but are too late to save Omega, who is taken to Tantiss.

Omega and Crosshair are arrested together as Clone Force 99’s search continues

Omega is quickly, albeit briefly, reunited with Crosshair on Tantiss, although the two are separated for most of their time inside the mountain. Omega is once again Nala Se’s lab assistant, although she visits Crosshair in his cell whenever she can. Unbeknownst to Omega, Crosshair is going through a seriously traumatizing process that seeks to condition him as a specialized killer.although he refuses to comply. This causes Crosshair to gain a tremor in his right hand, greatly affecting his ability to shoot the target.

About that, Hunter and Wrecker cross the galaxy in search of Omegawhile Echo continues to work with Rex towards a similar end goal of locating Tantiss. Hunter and Wrecker eventually get a lead that leads them to one of Hemlock’s old labs, which has since been destroyed by orbital bombardment, but not before they come across trapped clone cadets. After safely transporting the cadets to Pabu, the pair continue their search for Omega, crossing the galaxy for the fifth time in hopes of finding her.

Omega and Crosshair Escape Mount Tantiss and The Bad Batch reunite

During Omega’s stay on Tantiss, clone scientist Emerie Karr took samples of Omega’s blood, but Nala Se secretly destroyed them before they could be tested. On one specific occasion, however, Nala Se is unable to destroy the sample and asks Omega to escape. With the help of Nala Se’s light, Omega manages to break Crosshair out of his cell, and the two escape from Tantiss just as Omega’s sample is tested. – and produces results that are desirable for Hemlock experimentation: Omega’s blood can support a high M count.

With Omega now a key part of Hemlock’s operation, he orders them to let Crosshair and Omega escape to safety, with plans to pursue them afterwards. The two land in a random world, where they need to negotiate to obtain another means of transport. Once they get a ship, they meet up with Hunter and Wrecker on a remote world near Ryloth, where the remaining members of Clone Force 99 finally reunite. Tensions between Hunter, Wrecker and Crosshair, however, remain high.

Crosshair returns to Barton IV and makes peace with Hunter

Hunter, Crosshair, and Batcher sit on Barton IV and watch the destruction left behind by the creature.

Echo returns to Pabu and reunites with Bad Batch as he tries to help them decrypt Nala Se’s datapad, which Omega used to break out of Tantiss, hoping to get the base’s coordinates. Needing Imperial hardware to cut it, Crosshair suggests Barton IV, the outpost where he killed Lieutenant Nolan. He keeps this information from the rest of the Bad Batch, although Hunter suspects Crosshair is hiding something. They have a heated confrontation just before a giant elder attacks, forcing them to work together – and helping them make peace.

Clone Force 99 finds CX-2 and seeks answers about Omega

Rex and his clone forces encounter a mysterious clone killer and discover that Omega is a top target for the Empire. Rex summons Clone Force 99 to his base on Teth, where he reveals this information to them. Unfortunately, the clone assassin CX-2 tracks down the captured assassin and kills him, just before trying to do the same to everyone else in favor of capturing Omega. The CX-2 attempt was unsuccessfuleven with the help of Commander Wolffe, who ultimately lets Rex, his clone allies, and the Bad Batch go despite their continued loyalty to the Empire.

Now aware of the Empire’s search for her, Clone Force 99 seeks information on Omega and her M count, which is the only information they have. Hunter and Wrecker even help Fennec Shand with a reward to acquire information from her, and in return, she sends Asajj Ventress his way. Ventress warns Hunter and Crosshair about what’s coming for Omega now that his M count is concerning, motivating them to make a quick but hopefully temporary exit from Pabu.

Omega is recaptured and the bad batch heads to Tantiss

Unfortunately, the Bad Batch arrived too late. CX-2 tracks down Clone Force 99 on Pabu and destroys the Looterputting Wrecker out of commission and cutting off his only means of escape. Despite Hunter and Crosshair’s best efforts, Omega finally gives himself up to save the people of Pabuwith no way to track her. The Bad Batch immediately sets out to find her, breaking Rampart out of prison to get him to help in their search. Although they are unable to obtain the coordinates, they find a way to reach Tantiss and launch their rescue mission without any support.

Clone Force 99 rescues Omega and destroys Mount Tantiss

Clone Force 99’s fight on Tantiss is difficult, with Echo left alone inside the base while Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair fight through the jungle to reach the base. Meanwhile, Omega has been finding her own ways to escape the vault, where she is trapped with four other children. She frees the Zillo Beast to give them a suitable distraction, allowing her brothers to infiltrate. They, however, are stopped by Hemlock’s group of CX assassins, and while Omega manages to reunite with Echo and gain his freedom, his other three brothers are captured.

Echo and Omega return to free the other clone prisoners, who are quickly recruited to help the pair free their brothers. Hemlock tries to turn Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair into more CX assassins, but they, unsurprisingly, refuse to be conditioned. When the other clones arrive, a fight ensues – which seems quite hopeless – until Omega manages to free his brothers. She, however, is taken by Hemlock, who seeks to take her out of the world with him. Hunter and Crosshair catch up just in time to kill him and free her.allowing everyone to escape and return to Pabu.

C. 5 BBY: Age of Rebellion Begins

Omega leaves Pabu to join the Rebel Alliance

Many years later, Bad Batch enjoys a peaceful life in Pabu, but Omega is ready for more. Now grown up, Omega tries to escape in her own ship to join the Rebel Alliance, but is caught by Hunter, who waits for her there. They have a frank discussion about Omega being ready to continue the fight and ultimately Hunter lets her go with the promise that he and his brothers will be by her side if she needs them.. This is where The bad lot ends, although the story of Clone Force 99 could very well continue.
