Scarlet Witch #4 by Steve Orlando, Jacopo Camagni, Frank William and Ariana Maher pit the titular Avengers icon against the Griever at the end of all things. A cosmic “angel” of unexpected power, the Griever faces off against Wanda – empowered by the Griever’s own sister, the Queen of Nevers – and makes clear her place in the cosmic hierarchy.
Griever says, the scarlet witch, “Even universal concepts – even death itself – will meet my end.“And while she’s ultimately scattered throughout existence thanks to Wanda and her siblings, she adds an interesting wrinkle to the fabric of Marvel’s Universal Forces.
