My Hero Academia: You are next is almost here, with its North American release date officially set for October 11, 2024. The film is set just before the final war breaks out in My hero academia Season 7, and promises to be just as exciting as the last season of the anime was. ScreenRant has provided an exclusive clip, showing a small portion of the challenges Class 1-A is set to face.
The clip follows Bakugo’s team, consisting of Mina, Tokuyami, Kirishima, Koda and Sato, as they arrive at a dungeon area set up by the villainous figure known only as Dark Might. Confronted with monsters, Bakugo is his usual fiery self, and the team soon gets to work “clearing the dungeon” just like it’s a video game. Watch the clip below:
The clip reveals a bit of how Class 1-A will be divided throughout the film, with teams led by Bakugo, Deku and Shoto Todoroki, ensuring that everyone will get a chance to shine in the final film of the series.

In the silence between the confrontation with the Paranormal Liberation Front and the final war with the villains, a new villain who borrows the appearance of all might, equipped with a floating fortress that absorbs the population of Japan as it slowly moves across the country. The villain bears more than just a resemblance to All Might, however – he seems to wield his power as well. With his dark ambitions, the so-called “Dark Mite” represents one of the biggest threats that Japan has faced throughout the series, and it is up to Class 1-A to deal with him.
The clip shows Bakugo and his team inside Dark Mite’s fortress, which appears to be populated with monsters, making it similar to a dungeon in a classic RPG video game. The origin of the monsters is certainly a mystery, like My hero academia It doesn’t really have monsters, with its closest approximation being the bio-engineered Nomu that works for All for One. It is possible that these are also bio-engineered creations, and given Dark Might’s hinted association with a wealthy crime family, the Golinis, he may have the funding to create such beasts.
The film was released in Japan on August 2, 2024, right around the time the manga ended, making You’re no further The latest new content that some fans will experience for the franchise. It was quite a success in Japan, earning 895,000,000 yen (approximately $6.3 million) in the first three days at the Japanese box office, where it was number one opening weekend.
Although its North American release will be somewhat limited, it certainly stands to do quite well there when it finally hits theaters on October 11. Western fans are already excited for My Hero Academia: You are nexts release, which will be shown in both dubbed and subbed forms during its run.
