Call of Duty: Black Ops 6The multiplayer craze is well underway, and as usual with the series, this means the start of post-launch content. For years, the series has adopted a battle pass-style model in releasing maps, skins, weapons, and more for its multiplayer and Warzone components. This year is no different and Black Ops 6Season 1 will release its first batch of content next week. Treyarch has a wealth of content planned for release to Season 1 buyers and it’s already aiming to be one of the most extensive post-launch packages the series has ever seen.
Players have already gained access to Black Ops 6from the all-time classic map Nuketown, released on November 1st. This was essentially the first post-launch content released and was a huge topic of discussion within the Call to action community. With a new map already released, players are eagerly awaiting the arrival of more Season 1 content. Call to action seasonal content is generally divided into releases, mid-season releases, and end-of-season releasesSo only some of the content discussed will arrive this week, but there’s plenty to expect from Season 1 maps, modes, weapons, and more.
When the first season of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 begins
Season 1 release date is imminent
As noted in a post by the official Call to action blog, Black Ops 6Season 1 officially starts on November 14th to 9 a.m. Pacific Time. This means that all content announced now as launch content will be available to download and play in an update released that day, including major additions like new multiplayer maps. Content announced mid-season or not at all will be released later.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1 New Maps
Three new maps at the start
Season 1 is starting Black Ops 6post-launch multiplayer content with a bang. To begin with, there are three new maps coming at launch. The first, Hideout, is a 6v6 map that takes place in a secret base. This is a medium-sized map that features a lot of elevation and tight turns, offering a variety of opportunities for different game modes and playstyles.
The second, Heirloom, takes place in an art gallery dedicated to the art of the Luttazzi Crime Family. This map looks to be a fun change of scenery similar to Skyline’s visual design. It’s another medium-sized map, but it seeks to offer longer-range engagements with its long corridors and open spaces. The third, Extraction, is another medium-sized map that takes place on an Avalon heliport. This map can offer the most variety in terms of play style, with a multi-layered design that allows for close combat below decks and shooting from the air traffic control tower.
In addition to these three that will be released on November 14th, there are three more maps that will be released mid-season, including a remaster of Black Ops 4‘s Hacienda, a holiday variant of Black Ops 6version of Nuketown, and another new map called Racket. Racket is a small map that takes place inside an underground vault of a Lutazzi bank.
Black Ops 6 Season 1 Multiplayer Modes and Additions
New Modes, Perks, and Ranked Early Release
There are also a few modes being released, with two available at the launch of Season 1. Ransack is a loot-based mode where players chase gold bars and bring them back to the storage zones to earn points. Prop Hunt, like last year’s game, is essentially hide-and-seek with players disguised as inanimate objects. Hunters should find these players trying to blend in with the map and their environment.
In terms of loadout additions, there will be 2 new perks as well as a new Scorestreak and Wildcard. At launch, a new perk, Shadow, will allow players to become invisible to enemy traps and mines. A new Scorestreak, the hand cannon, returns from Black Ops: Cold War (also at launch). The other new perk, Shrapnel Radar, and the Wildcard, High Roller, will arrive mid-season.
With regards to Ranked Play, This will be the first release classified in Call to action history. This year’s Ranked Play includes a huge set of features tailored for competitive players, including the ability to veto map and mode selections, quit matches, and more.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies Updates
A new zombie mode and map
Zombies is also getting a lot of new content in Season 1, starting with the introduction of Driven Mode. This mode is essentially a story aid for the Terminus and Liberty Falls main quests, designed to help players see the most of the Black Ops 6 Possible zombie story. This mode scores objectives and has a maximum limit of 15 so players can focus on progressing through each map’s story rather than simply surviving.
Mid-season will see the release of a completely new zombie map called Citadelle des Morts. This map is set in a spooky medieval castle somewhere in Europe (presumably France or another French-speaking country) and also involves a medieval village, although not much else has been announced about the map.
In addition to the new mode and map, there is a lot of other new content coming to Zombies this season. This includes a new Perk-A-Cola, field upgrade and ammo mod. There are also 18 new boosts this season, along with three new flavors of GobbleGums. The Hand Cannon, a new multiplayer scorestreak, is appearing here as a craftable support weapon. Some of the other important features, like new wondrous weapons and a completely new enemy type found in Citadelle des Morts, are being kept under wraps in terms of details.
With all this brand new content coming to Multiplayer and Zombies in Season 1 of Black Ops 6, the player base should continue to grow and flourish as the holiday season approaches. This is always a fun time of year to be a Call to action player, and from the looks of it, Treyarch’s latest offerings won’t disappoint. Of Max Paynediving around these new maps in multiplayer mode to crawl through the corridors of the new Zombies map, there’s a lot to do Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 fans who will eagerly await in the coming months.
