Arcane season 2 featured an incredible transformation for Viktor’s character, tying into both the series’ exploration of Hextech and League of Legends. After Arcane At the end of the first season, Viktor’s fate was something that many were curious to see resolved. Season 2 begins almost immediately after Jinx fires her Hextech-powered rocket toward her enemies, addressing the deaths of the Piltover council as Arcane delves deeper into the war between the city and its helpless underground city, Zaun.
For the most part, Arcane The story of Season 2 focuses on the consequences of this event. Jayce and Mel were lucky enough to survive Jinx’s attack, but some of the other counselors weren’t so lucky. Like Vi and Caitlyn, with their newfound Kiramman family, the key is Arcaneleading the counterattack against Jinx and Zaun, Jayce is left reeling at the fate of the council. More importantly, however, Arcane Season 2 explores what happened to Viktor after this attack, as despite not being a member of the council, he was present when Jinx destroyed the tower.

Viktor’s fate was uncertain for a while
As revealed in Arcane Season 2, Episode 1, Viktor was seriously injured in Jinx’s attack. Unlike Jayce and Mel, who escaped unharmed, Viktor was nearly killed by the explosion and subsequent falling debris. However, this didn’t mean the end for Viktor, with Jayce making a drastic but necessary decision to save his friend’s life. This decision resulted Arcane season 1, specifically the subplot involving Viktor’s special interactions with the Hextech core.

Jayce knew that the Hextech core had helped Viktor in the past. In a last attempt to save the latter, the former placed him in a kind of cocoon, created by the Hextech Core. Hextech has surrounded Viktor, putting him into a sort of coma that Jayce tells Mel is the only thing keeping Viktor alive. After a few episodes of uncertainty, Arcane season 2 reveals that Hextech did much more for Viktor than simply keep his heart beating.
The Hextech Core made Viktor’s body a mixture of mechanical and organic
Hextech has completed its work on Arcane Season 1
Eventually, Viktor wakes up from his sleep. After a few days, Viktor frees himself from the Hextech cocoon and discovers that his body is no longer what it was. Hextech combined its magically mechanical properties with Viktor’s organic material, taking advantage of his story’s provocations in Arcane season 1. In the first season, Viktor – voiced by Harry Lloyd in Arcanevoice cast – managed to heal his leg for a brief moment using the Hextech Core. Although this was not permanent, his leg took on an interesting metallic color with purple highlights, bringing it more in line with his body. League of Legends counterpart.
From Arcane Season 2, end of episode 2, Viktor’s entire body takes on this state. The dark metallic appearance of his leg now spread everywhere except for Viktor’s face, the only part of him that wasn’t covered by the Hextech cocoon. In addition to this new body keeping Viktor alive, it set the stage for his entire arc in Arcane Season 2, which has him becoming more like the character he’s based on League of Legends and comes with a new set of powers and abilities.

Viktor could help countless people in Zaun
Without a doubt, the biggest plot element derived from Viktor’s new body is the fascinating powers he now possesses. At the end of Arcane Season 2, Episode 2, Viktor leaves Jayce in Piltover and travels to Zaun. There, he is cornered by a group of Zaunites who initially try to rob him. One of these characters, Huck, was shown in one of the Arcane high-rated episodes of Season 1, helping Caitlyn and Vi find a potions contest in Zaun. It was shown that Huck was negatively affected by Zaun’s quality of life, resulting in many deformities in his body.

Before Huck and his team can steal it, Viktor reaches out and touches his head. Viktor and Huck are then surrounded by a bright light, interspersed with animated, almost carnal, hextech patterns that have become associated with the nucleus. After metal objects fly towards the duo, Viktor lets go and he and Huck fall to the ground. Miraculously, Huck’s deformities disappeared, replaced by a mixture of organic and mechanical flesh that Hextec was shown to create.
Through his new body, it appears that Viktor can channel the powers that the Hextech Core has shown him. This will be immensely helpful to the people of Zaun and will give Viktor great purpose in the future. Afterwards, the men on Huck’s team kneel before Viktor, likely teasing big things to come for the character in the final six episodes of Arcane the show’s closing story from season 2.
How Viktor’s New Body Ties Into League Of Legends
Viktor is becoming the herald of the machine
To make Viktor Arcane season 2 plot even more compelling, he’s becoming more like his League of Legends character. In the game, Viktor is described as “The Machine Herald” and strives for something he calls glorious evolution. In Viktor’s mind, the human body is inherently flawed – harkening back to his character, who suffers from a body-related illness in Arcane – and needs repair. Viktor’s way of fixing the human body’s flaws involves combining it with machines, which now appears to be true for humans as well. Arcane like this League of Legends.
The Hextech mining laser shown in Arcane Season 1 is part of Viktor’s design in League of Legends, in which he uses it as a weapon.
With Viktor helping Huck in Arcane In the second season, the series could be delving deeper into this idea of glorious evolution. This is consistent with Arcane Season 2’s depiction of other characters based on League of Legends. In the former, Vi joined the Enforcers and Caitlyn became Piltover’s sole general, tying into the latter’s legends, “The Enforcer of Piltover” and “The Sheriff of Piltover.” Now it appears that Viktor is getting closer and closer to becoming “The Machine Herald”, turning on his Arcane character with the show’s source material.
What Viktor’s New Body Means for the Final 6 Episodes of Arcane Season 2
Hextech is unstable and a war is raging around Viktor
The last question arising ArcaneViktor’s subplot about Viktor is how it will affect Arcane the final six episodes of season 2. The first way was provoked in Arcane season 2, episode 3, which saw Jayce, Heimerdinger, and Ekko travel to the center of the former’s Hexgates. The Hextech proves unstable, causing several weapons powered by it to malfunction. While it’s not explored exactly how or why this is happening, Jayce and Ekko deduce that the titular mysterious elements are somewhat angered by the way Hextech is being utilized.
As far as Viktor is concerned, however, Hextec is apparently embracing him. As such, Viktor could be key to stabilizing Hextech and saving Piltover and Zaun. In regards to the class war between the nations, Viktor could become an unwitting third party. If he continues to help the citizens of Zaun as he did Huck, Viktor could quickly find himself accumulating Zaunite followers in Arcane Season 2, making the conflict at the heart of the series even more complex before its conclusion.
Set in the League of Legends universe, Arcane focuses on sisters Violet and Powder (later Jinx), who end up on opposite sides of a growing conflict between the wealthy utopia of Piltover and its dark underground city, whose citizens wish to break away from their oppressors. . Hailee Steinfeld, Ella Purnell and Kevin Alejandro star in this animated adventure.
